Grand Slam Convenience

This is my neighborhood gas station, so Im here all the time. Today while getting gas, I locked my keys, phone, EVERYTHING, in my car. I went inside with the intention of only asking to use the phone to contact a lock smith, and when Mario at the front counter heard what was going on, he grabbed his coat to come outside and help! He grabbed his very own kit to try to help me unlock my vehicle and got me back in. He was so kind, patient, and helpful to me today. He could've easily let me call a lock smith and spend $$$$ to get it done, but he chose to come out in the cold and help me. Super super grateful to Mario, love this store even more now because of him.

The place where you can buy fuel for your vehicles and liquor. Thinking first before you buy will get you home for the party. Have a happy Holiday!

Stopped into the store yesterday, great selection of whiskeys, bourbon, & wine. Mario was great help & I will definitely make a point to stop by when I’m back in KCMO.

Said it was the closest Convenience store. Surprised is was a liquor store. Just wanted a coke.

Terrible experience at this business at approx 2 pm Tues 4/27 Tried to get gas at outside pump. the machine wouldnt alow me to pull out my card after I quickly inserted it. Complained to the clerk inside he said it was a new style pump. I go to stations all over city. Never experienced this before. I told him customers should be alerted at pump of the change. He showed no sympathy and when I asked him to ring up my gas from inside he refused. I never raised my voice or used foul languge . He was approximately 35, dark hair. I will NEVER trade at this station again and I live just 6 blocks away.

I love it here, literally! I go here and to Quick Trip period! I also thought it was cool that they had a sale on gas around the time when the city was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I filled my tank with 11 bucks!

Awesome selection of beer, including craft beer. I bought 2 bottles of Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout and the taste is glorious! This beer is hard to find, as most stores in the KC area don’t carry it. It is a seasonal beer. If you love dark beer, go get some, you will love it!!!

I go here frequently because I live 2 blocks away. The selection of items is great, and I always receive excellent customer service. None of that really matters though; here's what does... around 5:30pm, I stopped to get a drink and snacks. My rear passenger tire was completely flat still had a screw stuck in it. I asked if they had an air compressor. The gentleman behind the counter told me where it was and that it cost $1.25. I had zero cash on me. I looked up and said, "I bet I can't use my card on it though, huh?" Without hesitation, he handed me 5 quarters. What that man didn't know was that I was on my way to see my daughter. Today is Wednesday. Mother's Day is this Sunday. Without his act of kindness, my daughter and I both would've been completely devastated because we wouldn't have gotten to see each other at all until next Wednesday. Thank you, sir. It's people like you who help me keep my faith in humanity. A business that employs people like you will ALWAYS be on top of my favorites list!

The staff here is amazing! Have always felt comfortable coming in here to shop, and the staff even helped me change a flat tire when I was in need of help.

This is our favorite place to go downtown to grab anything from gas, beer, wine, liquor, and snacks!! It’s conveniently located right off the highway and the staff members are all awesome! They have a their own delivery app as well.
