Story

Joe Hoone started Grass Roots Lawn Service in 1983 after working at the big name lawn companies and realizing that he could do the job better...better results and better customer service. His son, Marcus, started learning the business from a very early age. Helping out in the summers sparked his interest. Marcus then went onto Purdue University where he earned a bachelors degree in Agronomy (the science of soil management and crop production). He immediately went to work with his father and learned from him. In 2008 Marcus took over the company and Joe retired. Marcus has made it his mission to continue the same level of customer service and results that his customers expect.
