Story

GrassRoots is committed to providing Alaskans with an alternative way to shop that ensures that the producers creating each item are fairly treated and paid.

We carry jewelry, scarves, handbags, home and kitchen decor, toys, stationery, and food, all of which is Fair Trade and come from developing countries throughout the world. Every item has a unique story behind it; each represents a group of people who are now receiving the opportunity to support themselves and their families with dignity. From leather bags tanned naturally in the sun in India to table runners made from renewable vetiver grass in Bali to clothes made from organic cotton in Nicaragua to Fair Trade chocolates, coffees and teas, all of our items are unique and enable individuals to lift themselves out of poverty.
