I have lived in Hell's Kitchen since 1994, and in the last three years, this - my go-to - has become my NO Go. Overcrowded, machines are not clean, and service is spotty. I will not go back.
I usually do drop off. The woman that works there is really nice every time I come in. The place is super busy so if you want to do self service, come early. The prices for drop off are fair better than the cash-only place down the street, but still very Manhattan. No complaints.
The woman currently working here is incredibly angry, rude, and hostile for no good reason. I arrived at 9:00 and she immediately tried to turn me away. Only after arguing with her and agreeing that I would not dry my clothes was I allowed entrance. Management should find a better employee who does not turn away customers.
Great laundromat. Clean and with new machines. All machines are pay by card that you do need to purchase inside. But easy process to do that. Machines all work great, dryers were excellent. Ability to purchase detergents but also need to use the pre paid card for that. Highly recommended
The new woman at the front desk is very rude and disrespectful I been doing my laundry here for many years when the Ecuadorian couple were here, but since a month ago, this women took over and she is rude. Business owner should be carful of who they hire if they don't want to lose customers and their business. Now I have to go look for another laundromat.....Update, I found another laundry at the corner of 51st street and 10th Ave. It looks more spacious, and the management has better reviews on Google, so hopefully we will do business with them for a long time
They have since updated to a laundry card system instead of quarters. I found that out after I had procured $20 in quarters from the bank! Damn. Anyway… come with at least $20 in cash to load onto your card that you can purchase at a laundry card machine there. Very user friendly. It will give you a $1.00 credit for $20. The washers are small but you can fit more than you think in the drums. Plus there are a few large washers for $6.50 I think each. Dryers are the huge industrial kind so they dry faster than standard dryers. 18 minutes was plenty. Only 2 seats in the joint so be prepared to stand. I haven’t been to a laundromat in 27 years and this was a cool place. You can also buy detergent and dryer sheets there from a machine though I recommend you bring your own. There is also and ATM machine but it will charge you a fee so get your cash from your bank in advance. I got there right when they opened on a Sunday and it quickly filled up!! Get there as early as possible! Overall a good experience.
Dropped some items off to be washed and folded. Returned and my bag of items could not be found. Apparently they gave my bag to someone else without a ticket and now the owner/manager refuses to return my calls/texts. Avoid this place unless you don't care if you get your items back.
First time doing laundry in NYC and the guy was real nice, taught me how to work it and my clothes came out great. 10/10 on customer service
Exactly what we needed! We went in at 1pm on a monday after flying in from Vegas with a weeks worth of laundry to do. The staff left us to ourselves which we appreciated as we were exhausted and sleep deprived but were extremely helpful when we approached them for change and for assistance with a machine that was playing up. Some of the washers are a bit fiddly with your coins but the gentleman behind the counter politely helped me get it working haha. There are only 2 chairs so there might not be anywhere to sit while you wait- there was a young man sitting on the floor in the corner while he waited for his clothes to dry. Overall there is a very chill, comfy vibe. Honestly it was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours after a very busy week. For those wondering- as of today its $3.75 for a regular sized wash and 0.25 per 6 minutes to dry. They were selling washing powder for $1 per load
Great place to do wash and fold. About a 24 hour turnaround time. Clothes folded and sorted well. Would highly recommend using when on vacation
