Greenfield Hill Dog Grooming

I brought my senior dog here after my wonderful dog groomer of 25 years retired. For the entire 2 years that I brought her here, I was always asked what her name was upon drop off, as if they never recognized me or her. The dog is over 16 years old and has trouble standing for long periods of time. On her last visit, I dropped her off at 9:00 am and they called me at 3:00 pm to tell me that all they did was bathe her - no haircut - and that going forward, there was nothing they could do for her, so I shouldn't bring her back. When I picked her up, she was limping and they charged me $15 less than the normal price for a bath! I was handed the leash and sent on my way without an ounce of compassion or empathy for a dog that won't be here much longer. She was recently at the vet who made a point of telling me it looked as if her paws and nails hadn't been trimmed in a very long time. It is absolutely their choice not to groom her anymore, but a modicum of sensitivity would have been appreciated. If I ever decide to get another dog, I will be sure to get he/she groomed elsewhere!

So this is the ONLY place we have had Jerry get his cut done right. They do a wonderful and very even "Buzzy" cut which is perfect for our breed and the fieldwork we do. Jerry is full of energy and they always treat him so well. We couldn't ask for a more wonderful place to take our puppy.

We love Greenfield Hill groomers! One of our dogs is extremely anxious, but they're so loving and gentle that he pulls me *in* the door to see Liz. Our dogs are always done in just a few hours, and come home looking super cute.

You could not ask for a more loving or professional Grooming "Salon" for your dog. I have a King Charles Spaniel. I have had her groomed at many other places, but finally I have found THE BEST! They made my dogs fur look so clean! They do not take short cuts, with trimming nails, cleaning ears or around the eyes. Also, the shampoos that are used are high quality ones. If you go to a Chain Pet Store, you are likely to get Dawn or something similar. The price is completely fair. Wonderful spa for my little friend.

Simply the best groomers in our area! My family has had terriers for years and Liz and her colleagues know exactly how to give them the perfect cut. We've tried a few groomers and Greenfield Hill far and away stands out. I've referred a couple of friends to the shop and every one of them is thrilled with the results when they pick up their dogs.

These folks not only do a great job of grooming they handle the dogs well and schedule visits efficiently.

the groom was fine on my mini and standard poodles but she told me she used a special shampoo and they were still scratching like crazy and I found a nickel sized scab at the back of the mini poodles ear and realized the groomer shaved over a tick leaving the legs. I pulled and washed out the remaining legs. Also, when I spoke to Liz she never mentioned anything about their strict policy of picking up dogs by 4pm, and if one is not there by 4:15 sharp they charge a penalty fee of $50!! She called it a "sitting fee", but no "sitter" charges $50 to sit for an extra 1/2 hour. She claims the info was on the website and in the store front, however, I did not find them on the Internet and when I dropped my dogs off I specifically told her to call me 45 minutes to an hour before they were ready because we were going to Westchester. when she called me at 3:35, and told me she had to leave to get her kids at 4, she NEVER mentioned the $50 surcharge AND I also told her my nephew had died days before and we were sitting Shiva with my family and my husband was on his way. Had she been upfront immediately and direct and professional about her business I'd have been able to decide if this was going to work for us. This was a huge disappointment and all around icky experience as a 1st time client to a business.

I BROUGHT MY DOG TO THESE LADIES THREE TIMES. I HAD SEARCHED FOR THE RIGHT PEOPLE FOR MY SHETLAND SHEEPDOG. THEY WERE VERY LOVING TO MY DOG AND THEIR EXPERTISE IS TOP LEVEL. I WOULD NEVER TAKE MY SHELTY ANYWHERE ELSE.
