This would have been a 4-5 review if it hadn't been for my instructor for my 3rd in car lesson who ridiculed and verbally abused me. Instead of TEACHING me and giving me valuable tips to use for my driving test he bashed me and vindictively threatened to fail me. And after contacting the school to request a verbal apology I've gotten no further correspondence. It feels like they just took their money and called it a day, they don't care about their students or their well-being. Be weary of coming here because they will let you get mistreated and not take any accountability for their employees
The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with driving in my life. I experienced verbal abuse from my driving instructor who blatantly threatened to fail me over irrelevant actions! I never been so disappointed in a driving school! I do not recommend please do not go here!!!! Instead of providing constructive criticism, they resorted to insults and belittlement, creating a hostile learning environment. This behavior not only hindered my progress but also left a lasting negative impact on my confidence. I strongly advise the school to address such conduct promptly to ensure a safer and more respectful learning atmosphere for all students.
Pay close attention when scheduling driving classes. There is an instructor named Giovani Rivas young male with with reddish wavy hair Very arrogant, racist, and condescending person who mocks people for their accent and enjoys humiliating students. I had a very bad experience with him; he yelled and humiliated me during the class, making it a very traumatic experience. The school defended him and did not give me any credit or benefit of the doubt. This dude is disgustingly narcissistic and believes he is superior to others, especially humiliating those with accents, particularly Hispanics, which is ironic considering he probably has an hispanic family or at least his last name suggests so. I hope this serves to prevent others from going through the same. He caused me psychological damage for which I will need therapy since I cannot drive the car. Additionally, I am stuck paying for a car I will never be able to use. Would not recommend it at all.
This driving school is a scam. Christian has poor customer service and is rude when the company is wrong. The only available in car driving times are 8am, 10am, and noon, which are times the kids are in school. They would have to miss 6 hours of school. If your child is late by 5 minutes, they can not attend class that day. They are also the most expensive driving school. Check out other places first. Greg's driving school please work on your customer service and provide the service that we are paying for.
Just finished day two & I have my last day in two days. I am 28yrs old I've been driving for years with a permit ofcourse. The instructor I have is awesome! Since I know how to drive it makes his job easier. Best of luck to beginners.. Just a take a breather & pay attention to the road & you will be good! Also my instructor had some good tips when it came to parking & 2 point turn. Practiced parallel parking & it was very simple but wasn't tested for this.
Gregs Germantown is awesome, I really enjoyed my instructors there. Gaithersburg the one instructor I had she was very patronizing and yes I had no busy road experience and I knew I was bad at looking around all my surroundings but she would constantly say things like "I bet you didnt see that red truck 30 feet up ahead turning onto a street we arent going on". It was also my parking lesson and I told her I physically could not see the sticks coming from the cones and she would just tell me to look around as if I could just magically begin to see them. When she told my parent this she lied about things I told her and implied I was just lazy. Oh and merging onto a street I saw the road was clear and she hit the breaks as I was entering practically in the middle of the road because a car in a lane I had no intention of going into was coming up behind us. My last instructor in Germantown I think her name was Elizabeth was very patient, showed me how to time my lane changes, the highway was no issue compared to the constant state of panic I felt with the second because I wasn't stopping at the exact millisecond she wanted me to at a stop sign because A I wasn't up to the sign yet and B I was trying not to do a hard stop.
My review will be updated as needed but today was day two for me and honestly the coach Ms. Dorothy has gave an ease. I have felt for so long that I was not going to be able to relax but from my 1st impression this teacher is so kind and understanding. Shout out to Dorothy!!! You are amazing!!
I am not happy with Greg's of Gaithersburg honestly, I am currently registered for my drive time, and have been for over two months. After my first drive time everything was fine except for the fact that my instructor mentioned how they felt overworked and ended our drive time thirty minutes early, I understand that it was a evening session, but that's not an excuse--I paid my money like everyone else and should get the same amount of time. On the day of my second scheduled drive time, I get emails and calls telling me that my drive time which was scheduled months ago was cancelled because the instructor was not available--how is that my problem? When I wanted to reschedule the representative mentioned that the next available time slot is a month away--again I had this scheduled for months, I can not take off of work for any sessions and there aren't any available weekends. It seems like I have to compromise on getting my license because of them, and don't appreciate it at all. The worst part is that it was my 2nd drive time and my third is still on schedule so now I have a missing time frame for my 2nd drive time and it doesn't make any sense.
I witnessed him the in-car instructor, Daniel with another student 2 days before my son's in-car, and he was being really rude/critical to the other student. It was no surprise that my son had a similar interaction with him. My son email'd the manager, with the promise of at least an email back, but he never got one.
Today I had an amazing experience with Mr. Buddy. I am a late bloomer, and I waited 28 years for this amazing opportunity. Not only did Mr. buddy show me patience and understanding, but he was a also encouraging and funny. I am truly looking forward to having two more lessons with him.
