I Love greyhound, it's always a pleasure for me... except this last time. I got on in okc and was going to topeka, my driver completely went right on to kc. Very uncomfortable miserable sad situation when I asked him why we weren't going to topeka he said they already stopped there... noooooo sir you didnt.... very unpleasant ride drive swerving multiple times using phone the whole time while driving including for GPS. Pretty sure thst guy wasn't worried about anyone losing a life that day! Crazy what we do and the risk we take when we pay to put our lives in the hands of another person. I hope someone looks into their drivers.
I was stuck here for about 40 hours due to snowstorms. I was in the middle of moving and had what was all left that I owned that I could pack in a bag. I had my bedding with me and set up a little campsite in a corner of the station. I was very grateful that staff allowed me to do so, because it just straight up looked like I was living there but they didn't say anything, I'm sure because of the circumstances. Salvation Army came out and brought all of us that were snow bound some food. Only thing is, is that their vending machines are damn near price gouging, and it being the situation that it was, no one working there offered us anything. Us passengers were left to our own devices. People taking the bus to travel are...no offence, because I fit into this category too...are poor. I called Salvation Army and explained the situation and told them we were all starving and had not enough money to keep paying vending machine prices for the duration of the layover. Very little staff presence, it seemed. And when present, very cold and impersonal. It's fairly clean, better than most. They have microwaves available. They have so many different types of vending machines...but, no one thought to have a coffee machine amongst the two machines each of ice cream, water, Coke and Pepsi products, junk food and cell phone accessories?
*edit I got robbed just outside of here on my commute... Be careful ----------------- Hey a real Greyhound station! This one is not too bad. Honestly the staff are what makes this place shine. It's a big city Greyhound station, be careful and be smart. No real reason to linger here, Get to your destination as soon as possible. Living in Kansas City for so long, I forget the beautiful view from this place. It really has a great one. I hope you have a great one too! Just stay safe at all these bus stations.
Greyhound needs to do better and pay employees better so they can feel good about coming to work and managing facilities, scheduling, and communication. The handful of good employees I ran into is what gives them these 2 stars.
Can't give --000. Rude greyhound Staff. No Concerns for passengers safety & well being. And Could Care Less unless you want to Spend More $$$. Also Do Not exhibit Any Mental Health Issue. You will be Lucky if the police are Not called on you. Defiantly not a Company for any one with disability issues, or unless you want to put out big $$$
like the other Greyhound stations I've used its far from comfortable. food and drink options, either vending machines or cafe, were extortionate. staff didn't want to be there. toilets were actually clean which has been rare at Greyhound stations. it's a transit stop, you're there because you have to be. if you're in for a wait bring your coffee and snack with you.
Horrible as usual, we froze the 1st hour of the trip. After leaving an hour late from KC. Greyhound used to be a wonderful experience, I'm 62 & have been riding since the 70's. I guess they don't care anymore. The last time a couple of months ago I had a horrible experience, they gave me a whole 10$ off which didn't even use yet its ridiculous & quite upsetting as every time I have to use their services, it is an emergency. Emergency as in family members in the hospital! It's just so bad
Staff wouldn't let me wait for my ride outside the bus station. Told me I had to wait out on the side walk but they don't have a problem letting other people wait for there ride outside the building. Terrible staff, terrible customer service. Never had a problem with this location till now. Disrespectful.
I started my trip yesterday afternoon from Dubuque IA and in the span of 3 emails saying something was wrong with my trip and to please call directly each agent could not tell me what happened. Got into KC Missouri Greyhound terminal and Ms Sanders working the ticket counter explained what happened and gave her sincere apologies and rectified the problems. Way to Go Greyhound. You need more of this employee working every place.
Payed for bus trip, for my cousin, from Missouri to Indiana. Made it to st. Louis Missouri. There were no drivers!!! 10 hrs later, there was a bus to indy. No refund, rude manager. MAKE SURE THEY HAVE EMPLOYEES BEFORE YOU PURCHASE TICKETS!
