Great hike! 9 miles all around and medium difficulty. Dog friendly. Take the mount Charleston south loop for 4 miles, then head 1/2 of a mile from there (you'll see a sign). Beautiful views all the way up. Plenty of parking and east to find the trailhead.

Great hike in the Vegas area! 1000 vertical metres to the top and incredible views of the Las Vegas valley. If you don't want to commit to the longer and higher ascent of Mount Charleston, this is a great option. Strong hikers can reach the summit in roughly 2 hours.

Great hike. Great trail. Impaired by big fires several years ago.

Pretty long hike, shortness of breath due to elevation but so worth it. It's a must at least once a year, usually at the beginning of hiking season, in early May.

Great hike. Not the easiest of hikes, but not the hardest. Mix of compacted and lose rocks along the way. Lots of high desert pine trees to see and a nice break from LV summer heat. Round trip with breaks - right at 5 hours (2800 calories and 8 miles as well). For me, it was a 2 liter of water trek - plan appropriately.
