The atmosphere here is great. The customer service is amazing. we are always greeted here and have good conversations with the employees. My boyfriend and I will sit here for hours talking on the outside patio, watching cars pass. Plus in the summer it’s right by a little farmers stand. We love to get fresh veggies and our coffee right by each other. :)

They have a good roast and use just the right amount of flavor in the lattes. Plus they have amaretto flavor, can't find many places like that anymore.

I'm a recent transplant to Utah from Oregon. I was starting to feel worried that I wouldn't fit in or be able to get comfortable. it's just a little different getting high here than it is back at home...it's hard not to feel like when I'm walking around, it could be the first time that people round here have seen a responsible stoner, or could freak out because they're not used to conversing with a genuinely nice guy and call the cops due to the suspicious nature of it. I was able to find this regal coffee shop though. Two guys I could hear chatting about a bag of premium beans that he had just got in and couldn't hardly wait to get it brewing. The discussion led into an explanation of how Starbucks is like McDonald's. I picked up on that the dude with the beans was the owner. The place made me feel more comfortable though. Especially when the owner passed by me smiling and said, "You're new here huh?!" .... ... to which I replied with a resounding, "Absolutely!!" To be fair, I did appear to be making myself comfy after all... ... I say naturally because they had a couch to sit on. I shared with him how much I appreciated the setup and design. I was impressed with the wall hung with bound collections of 80's and 90's National Geographics. On opposite walls are an array of various novels and they provide boardgames. I appreciated the decor -- vintage, scabby hospital-yellow walls, torn vinyl seats and diner style tables, a wicked nice striped loveseat, red crackled glass candle holders, wooden chess sets, yahtzee, and even the game of Life. It reminded me of the good times. If they had hired a professional interior decorator, they coulda charged more for their craft. When you can take all the personality and traits that the shop has and combine it with realism...you've got a masterpiece. and I'm not saying they weren't 'Utah' or that I was looking for an 'Oregon' coffeeshop...but what they emulated was hope for a better society. taking the stereotypical coffeeshop mentality and fusing the good feelings of the family home with Americana. I paid for a coffee with what was remaining in my coin tray, in dimes, and they were graciously patient with me. I asked if they had anything that was under three bucks and could still get the job done. She suggested the coffee of the day... which was three options...so you know that took me some time to figure out. she explained there was medium roast variety which she referred to as their 'regional coffee'. so that caught my attention as i did not realize coffee grew so close to this area. I enquired about it and she said it came from another country and pointed to it's name, still referring to it as the regional coffee. Was she afraid to refer to it by it's real name? =D Terrific coffee btw. What's up with that liquid sugar though? I wasn't sure how to use it but as it turned out I did alright. What more can I say? The coffee shop and I had merged. The openness of the staff was deeply desired but not impossible to fill, nevertheless, the friendly atmosphere lived there. I just figured that it was because I was the new guy in town. Although I had worried that when I moved here I would feel out of place -- I found it here -- a comfort zone that reminded me of home. great folks there. I'll be returning often. Thanks for the experience.
