Gus's Sir Beef Restaurant

Great food and service. Friendly staff that makes customer satisfaction they're number one priority. We've been working here in Matthews for over a month and we eat lunch there 3 or 4 times a week. Anytime I'm in the area I'll be back. 5 stars for sure.

The grilled shrimp was decent. The salad dressing was watered down. The collard greens were okay. Almost all of the seats are torn. The best I can say about the visit is the waitress was nice and prompt. The food came quickly as well. I will not be visiting this restaurant again.

They never disappoint. Daily specials, farm fresh vegetables, and very friendly service.

Consistently good food and service. I remember going there as a child, what a great memory. Southern fare. Had steak and gravy and a salad that was huge and delicious...the owner was sitting in a booth at lunch, very quaint place. Busy with a variety of customers.

I grew up in Charlotte and our family went to Gus's Sir Beef frequently. Now that I've moved out of the state I always make sure to have a meal here anytime I travel to Charlotte. The food is just as fresh and wonderful as I remember from my childhood.

Great Old School Charlotte Dining Experience. Flounder was hot and delicious. Classic Mashed potatos and gravy and the Banana Pudding really takes me back !! I was treated as a valued customer.

I will never visit here again. Staff is wonderful but as we finished our meal two roaches crawled across our table!!! I was completely shocked and couldn't get out of their quick enough. I know they are a long standing neighborhood restaurant but they need to shut down and fumigate for the bugs and do some remodeling.
