Wow. Place is Awful, walls are so thin you can hear straight to the next room. You would think with a music school they could atleast sound proof a few rooms... I will say I loved the receptionists, but thats not enough to want me to pay those guys money.

My son has been blessed enough to be involved in the music program here for the past year. He has taken guitar, voice, banjo and has had the opportunity to perform in several School of Rock programs. His instructors ( Big thanks to Derick and Wes) have not only helped him grow musically but also personally with regard to his work ethic and confidence. The synergy of being part of a band has provided important life lessons as well. We look forward to another great 4 years!

I started lessons in my fifties after my wife inspired me to take guitar back up after not playing since high school (I knew some basic cords, strumming and a few riffs). My journey started with an acoustic, moved to an electric guitar and over a year ago I became a classical student. I wanted to learn a few riffs to increase what I could play; however, I have become a true music student. My teacher, Wes Shepard, is outstanding. He has amazing patience and understands different learning styles from young children to adults. His passion for music and teaching guitar (all types and music styles) is focused on making guitarist. Most of all he has rekindled my love for music and guitar. I don’t think there is anyone more knowledgeable of music history, theory, guitars and guitar students. Wes is dedicated to his students and his passion is infectious. This is all made possible through the management of the Gwinnett School of Music. I never thought that I would be voluntarily performing recitals at my age; in fact “no recitals” was a condition I made when I started lessons. I am on an exciting journey becoming a guitarist. And for those adults who don’t think they have time for lessons, I have a full-time demanding job with frequent business travel, children and grandkids. Fulfill your lifelong dream of becoming a musician, it’s never too late.

My daughter, Annabel, has had the time of her life with all that School of Music and School of Rock have had to offer. She has been involved for about 2.5 years now and it is amazing how far she has come. After never taking music lessons at all to full piano, vocals and School of Rock and competing....Its just amazing. Thank you for all you have done for her! You have helped her follow her passion of music! Now at 14 years old, she has decided to attend Belmont University in Tennessee. Thank you!

GSoM provides a wonderful and well-rounded musical experience. Both of my children have taken instruction from them and we found it to be very high quality. My daughter was also challenged with new experiences such as The School of Rock and several school-sponsored performances. I can't think of a better school for introducing or advancing music in children.
