Do yourself a favor when visiting Magazine Street and stop in to this locksmith to step back in time. In addition to still operating as a locksmith, they have some beautiful items to buy. Everything from decorative knobs to old hardware to lock Jewelry.

Did not know what to expect before going in. Once I walked in, it was a great experience. There are a lot of things that just grab your attention. Great place to find some older decorations. Good finds honestly

These folks are amazing. They are prompt, professional, and do great work. I’ve used them a few times and have been delighted with the experience.

The staff here makes this place what it is, they make the most beautiful keys and if you have an older home in Nola and are trying to keep the traditional locks, this is the place to go

This is my favorite store in the whole world! They have taught me so much and have been so patient with me. I've been able to outfit 2 houses with beautiful, functional door hardware that tells a story. My heart is always so happy when I leave H. Rault!

I could spend all day here browsing looking at antique locks, they even have wonderful jew!

This place is very cool they've got tons of locks in there that they do not sell that are strictly for museum piece type purposes I could stay in there for hours just looking at everything in Reading but if you need a lock smith this is definitely the place to come also if they don't have what you need they'll get it don't worry and they have advice to help you with it once you do get it I'm sure they could also recommend people to do mobile services if they don't have them in store, cool bottle collection too

I bought a new lock to replace a deadbolt that we didn't have the key for. When I took the old bolt out, I discovered that the hole in the side of the door was at least 4 inches tall and the face plate of my lock was maybe 2 inches long. And the hole in the door was 1/4 inch too small for the handle. I called H Rault. A technician came and successfully installed my lock in less than 2 hours. Thank you. Thank you.

I can't say enough great things about this shop! The owner, Michelle, is AWESOME. My friends and I lovingly named her "Aunt Michelle" and talked about her kindness throughout our trip to New Orleans. Not to mention, she has the cutest pups, Voodoo & Izzy! This shop is so cool to peruse with NOLA history everywhere. Michelle makes jewelry from old keys and locks and it's gorgeous.
