H-Tide Asian Market

What they lack in variety they make up for in reasonable prices! Their prices bring me back here over and over again. Part of me wants to keep this "my little secret," but I have to encourage everyone to shop here. H-Tide is extra convenient in that it is located in an area that doesn't have very many southeast Asian grocery stores. They also stock a limited selection of fresh produce, including green papaya.

$20 minimum on cards. Otherwise a very cheap asian grocery store on the S side. Pretty decent selection but not over bearing bearing for a westerner

Good, friendly service. I buy kimchee here, a brand not available in Kankakee County.

This is the only Asian store around, you can buy JJJee in this store. Its clean and tidy with almost everything that you can get from Chinatown.
