This is one of the most unique and beautiful collections of art created by artists from a specific part of the country that I have ever seen. The museum was originally built in 1904 as the Connecticut Pavilion at the Worlds Fair in St. Louis, Missouri. It was purchased and moved and rebuilt in Lafayette, Indiana then was a private residence for many years and is now a museum. The art displays are the works of Indiana artists from the mid 1800"s until the present day. It includes many oil paintings by very famous artists as well as ceramic and other sculptures. There are two incredible and functioning large music boxes. All of the beautiful furniture is American. It is an historical treasure chest.

This place is great. Beautiful collection of paintings, revival period furniture, clay structures, stained glass art and a lot more. The museum is specifically for Indiana Art. The owners are super nice. There is a sculpture garden which is free for everyone.

Excellent and worth the trip if you're a fan of Indiana impressionism (ie TC Steele) or pottery and sculpture. A lovely home with tours by interested and invested owners.

A sculpture garden and walking trails behind the mansion. Inside a wide range of ceramics, sculptures and paintings from Indiana. Also a beautiful house to admire. The owner and person who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable and excited about the artists of Indiana, USA.
