Amazing place. I went here alone to eat and enjoyed the food and service. I had nachos and tacos. Nachos was just too good. My server was too nice to replace the nachos for me as the first one had undercooked chicken and some chips. After that it was great in taste, loved it. I also ordered shrimp tacos and it was great too. Salsa was just too good with chips.
Free thin crispy chips and not at all spicy salsa when you are seated. Spacious. Really friendly service. Food is good. Tortilla soup was very good! The combo platter was also pretty tastey...the queso is not at all spicy.
Nice atmosphere in a pretty venue downtown. My son really enjoyed his carnitas. The quesadilla was good but I wasn't crazy about the steak.
Wonderful staff and exceptional mexican food. I tried the jumbo shrimp dish wrapped in bacon. Simply delicious! Very classy, clean and definately recommend if yu our visiting Denver and want a late breakfast or early dinner.
I have a thing for good Mexican food and Hacienda was great. Shared a chicken quesadilla, mixed greens salad with chicken and guacamole, with chips & salsa to start.
Haciendas review- For all my Texans that like to experiment with Mexican food outside of the great state, you'll learn quickly that "Mountain Mex" is same concept, different taste. For example chips and salsa are a give but having thin chips and cold salsa makes you appreciate your Tex-Mex. From my party of four, too two things ordered were the carnitas tacos and shrimp tacos. Glancing next door, the fajitas do not sizzle. Queso was so-so but many chips broke because they were so thin. We didn't even try dessert. This chip thing is really bothersome to me haha The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The restaurant itself is very large and spacious. Good for large parties. There is an outside seating area that seemed great for people watching. Would recommend parking somewhere close and walking since it's off the busy street. Overall, I'd say it was just ok.
The tacos were bland and unflavorful compared to other great spots downtown. The service was good though. Our drinks were always refilled and chips/salsa were replenished.
Everyone was nice from beginning to end. The hostess, the servers, my waiter, and management. The food was great, portions are more than enough, decor was cozy. Appreciate the great service!
Here we go! You're in downtown Denver and great restaurants are a dime a dozen; really! So I scout out many different ones and I'm sure they're great but I chose this one and I read a lot of the reviews especially the negative ones. So I get there and they are really busy and it is 5 O'Clock on a Friday evening I still get seated within about 8 minutes and they are seating big groups of 6 and 8 from some nearby convention. They have a top shelve margarita special so let's try one of those. This is a quasi high end Mexican restaurant and who doesn't like Mexican food? So good Mexican food is even better! I saw one review where they downgraded the restaurant because the chips in Mexico called Totopos are thin. Thin chips are a delicacy you can't even get in Mexico City. They don't even make chips there; they create chips out of tortillas that they cut into sixths. They're ok but they're not crisp. There were many interesting items on the menu but I decided on the pork enchiladas. Carnitas. As busy as they were, the food came out quickly and was excellent tasting AND perfect temperature. Quite a feat on a busy night. Now the salsas. They brought me the green chili salsa with the chips the first time and it was interesting but not really any appreciable heat so they brought me the Roasted Jalapeño salsa on the enchiladas AND a small bowl of their Habanero salsa which had mango mixed in and was very hot. I didn't even mess with their ghost pepper salsa; there is such a thing as too hot! So the moral of the story is that they have many salsas of flavor and heat so don't leave without getting the one you want. Thank everyone for you reviews but sometimes you have to consider the source. This place is a 5+.
Good Happy Hour, Chicken street tacos are delish, the refried and black beans are very tasty. Will definitely return to try more.
