Dr. Hamilton is an amazing doctor, who is truly compassionate. He was the third doctor I saw for my cataract surgery. The first two doctors told me I was a good candidate for the newest multi-focal lens. However, I felt uneasy about their recommendations, which thankfully, led me to Dr. Hamilton. Dr. Hamilton discovered that I have a rare abnormality, that actually prevents me from being a candidate for multi-focal lens! He instead recommended the mono-focal lens. Dr. Hamilton also has an Engineering degree, which enables him to better analyze the data from the eye scans. He found this abnormality, while the other two doctors missed it. Had I proceeded with the other doctors, I would have needed an additional surgery to remove the multi-focal lens, and replace it with the mono-focal lens. Dr. Hamilton has finished my surgery with excellent results. I can now see perfectly. I am so grateful and blessed to have found him! He did a wonderful job and saved me from multiple surgeries.

Dr. Hamilton takes his time to listen and time to explain. His professionalism enabled me to proceed with his recommendation to replace my lens from previous cataract surgery. The thorough and detailed care I received from Dr. Hamilton and the outcome from the surgery/lens replacement confirms the decision to commit time and effort in moving toward improved vision is the best decision I could have made. He has been supportive and available every step of the way. Highly recommend Dr. Hamilton and his team.

I had my first corneal transplant at the age of 6 years old. Dr. Hamilton was highly recommended by my childhood corneal surgeon since he studied under my surgeon while at UAB school of medicine. Dr Hamilton was my first choice when I relocated to Atlanta area as an adult to be my new corneal specialist. I received a partial corneal transplant in 2009, then cataract surgery in 2012 , and then most recently a full corneal transplant in 2022. I have always felt like I was in good hands. He is kind, compassionate, humble, caring, and so professional. But more importantly he makes you feel like “family“. Over the last 20 years, he has not only been an amazing corneal specialist, but he has been through life’s ups and downs with me. He is attentive, and truly listens. He not only treats the eye problem, but he truly cares about each individual patient. So so grateful that I was able to be treated by him all these years , and that he gave me the ability to see through his talented and exceptional work.

CInicians were very caring & professional. Dr Hamilton was attentive, explanations were thorough and easy for me to understand, and his demeanor was reassuring & calming. Its scary when vision is failing. Now I look forward to being restored! I'm very thankful for the 2 cataract surgeries Dr Hamilton did +10 yrs ago!

Dr. Hamilton is so caring and considerate of his patients. He makes you feel so comfortable and answers all of your questions and concerns so you can completely understand in layman's terms. He is so calm and makes you feel you are his only patient. He has saved my vision with cornea transplants and I will always be thankful.

Everyone in the office was & always is very kind, friendly & very professional. I have been seeing Dr. Hamilton for a couple of years now and I have always been treated good by everyone in the office and I'm extremely happy with the medical care I have always received. I would also like to say that Dr. Hamilton Is a wonderful doctor & I'm going to really miss him. He has gone above & beyond any expectations I have for any doctor. I spent over 2 hours at this appointment. I only got an examination. No glasses, I do have keratoconus but I don't think that my visit should take over 2 hours. To leave my job 30 minutes early and take 2 hours here and then have to go back to my job is 3 hours to do a eye doctor's exam. This is unacceptable to me unfortunately. That being said, Dr. Hamilton is a great doctor, and has a great bedside manner. I feel like I got reasonable care. It just took way too long.

Dr. Hamilton recently did my surgery for cataracts. I have been to a number of ophthalmologists over the years, but I have never had such a great experience with a doctor's office. From the front office staff to the medical team at both the doctor's office here as well as the Piedmont Surgery Center, everyone was both professional, helpful and kind. I cannot be more pleased with the outcome and cannot recommend Dr. Hamilton enough.

Dr. Hamilton is a hero, great guy, soft touch for sensitive eyes. He’s a gentleman and a scholar. Staff is amazing. A1-practice.

Dr Hamilton was very thorough and also gave me hope that getting an evaluation and possibly a new prescription next month may take care of my problem without surgery.
