Established in 1994, Hammer & Hand operates at the leading edge of precision craft. Equally comfortable performing historic restoration on a Victorian home or building a cutting-edge Passive House commercial structure, we recognize that being a good builder today means being both a skilled craftsperson and an expert building scientist. So we respect the ingenuity and handiwork of our career carpenters who employ historical techniques in building their work. And we also train ourselves in the world's most rigorous green building standards. We work at the leading edge of new, environmentally responsible building, while incorporating the respect for Nature that's a hallmark of both the Arts and Crafts era and today's environmental movement.
