Handi-Wheels provides specialized transportation to disadvantaged individuals in the Fargo and West Fargo communities.

Story

Not being able to drive is a hardship for many in our community. Handi-Wheels Transportation is used to access a range of activities needed for people to feel included in the community and have a full and productive life. We provide rides for individuals who are elderly, disabled, or low-income to go to medical appointments, participate in recreation activities, go shopping, and attend worship service. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and promoting the social inclusion and independence of our passengers.

In operation since 1975, we help people remain independent, live in their own homes for longer periods of time, and feel included in the community.

Mission

It is Handi-Wheels' mission to provide a safe, reliable means of accessible and affordable transportation service to individuals who have a disability, persons who are elderly, and individuals who live within the limits of a poverty income. Handi-Wheels embraces and is fully committed to the observances of human and disability rights. As such, Handi-Wheels is dedicated to the rights of its patrons to a transportation service of the highest quality possible.

Products

Handi-Wheels offers door-to-door service to eligible individuals who cannot ride other public transportation. In addition, Handi-Wheels provides transportation to access medical care and ensure inclusion in our community. Handi-Wheels is open to the public.
