Located well off the beaten path in a beautiful location. However, vandals have ruined the monument.

Never been here but want to. I am a direct descendant of her on my Grandma Websters side. I will one day get out there to see the "mother of the American tradition of scalp-hunting." Not that I condone that now days, but 300 plus years ago it was a way of survival.
She is my 9th Great Aunt .. A True Blooded Emerson! My favorite place to visit and think how it was in 1697 being capture and dragged from Harverhill Mass to where her statue stands. What bravery she showed and made it home to her family after they thought she was dead! 1st woman erected statue in the United States to honor her

The area needs a lot of upkeep.. Not a place to bring small children
A touching story whose narrative has been adapted over time to suit our societal interface with our own past.
We have a family tie to Hanna and it was amazing to visit the area.
