Update 7/13 - Thoroughly Impressed every time I go to the store. Great selection, and absolutely incredible customer service. Please add some hours on Saturday to open!!! I would love to visit more, but with their hours it's very hard with a normal work schedule. Original review - They have a great variety and the staff was extremely helpful explaining the ins and outs of the various cuts and pricing. I am extremely impressed and will definitely go back. Only con is the price, but that seems more due to being in Alaska. But even with that con I would give them 10 stars due to the customer service alone. Thanks again!

Everyone I talked with was extremely helpful. They have a large supply of lumber and plywood of various species. They also have quality tools up front. I will definitely be back here..

Always friendly and always go out of their way to help. I wanted some live edge walnut last year. They ordered some for me when the found it, set is aside for me to look at and without obligation. I had not even told them to order it. Good people, good service... Enough said.

This store is the best stop in town for your woodworking needs. They have an incredible selection of exotic woods as well as many others. The staff has always been incredibly helpful and friendly. Scout the puppy acts as a friendly addition to the atmosphere. I must echo the one complaint that seems to be common among the reviews here and that is the store hours. This shop is incredibly hard to get to simply because they close at 4:30pm. To me this is all that is holding them back from a 5 star review. All in all, I absolutely recommend this shop for all your woodworking needs.

This store is unique in that it has the finest woodworking tools and an excellent choice of woods for either professional or home craftsman. However, when "too" many people show up, they don't know how to handle that situation. I waited about 15 minutes the other day waiting for someone to help me. No one did, So, I did what I've done before and found a mature woman who knows everything. I had to wait my turn, but when she helped me everything went well.

I really don't like shopping but I love this store. They always have what I need, quality items at a reasonable price, which is hard to find in AK. They also happen to have excellent customer service and they are friendly and knowledgeable. Worth the drive every time! Thank you!!

Best woodworking store in Alaska. Fun to go and just look at the wood. Amy and her staff are always there to help with questions, give encouragement to try something new and check you out when you’re ready. I wish I could finish projects faster so I can go back again and again and again!

I went in today with my son just to take a look to see their selection to get some ideas for upcoming projects. The staff was very friendly and Amy whom I believe was the owner was very friendly and explained what they have where everything was and when new shipments would be arriving. Needless to say I was very pleased and look forward to seeing them again for my projects and questions

Always like going here. Sometimes just to see the different types of new wood available. There's many varieties of wood plus plywoods of all grades finished and unfinished. 5x5's if needed. All your cabnet hardware pulls, hinges, slides, edge banding, jigs, blades, tools and probably more. Everyone is great to talk to for help. You can order machines from most of the wood working companies. You can order wood types if they don't have what you are looking for, but you will wait a few weeks to get here.
