Harvest Church

I went to a service for the first time, having moved here just a few weeks before and I left bewildered and saddened. The pastor did a message addressing the Me Too movement and women’s rights. It is difficult to address this topic and I give the pastor credit for attempting it, but I left saddened because the message, if anything, empowered men, not women. The pastor used a correlation with Sports Illustrated, making an unwise and distasteful joke about the swimsuit edition that in essence, justified men’s thoughts/actions. I will not return to this church, the message that day was not biblical and I felt a great sense sadness; the pastor that had just preached to hundreds, missed the meaning behind the Me Too movement and instead of fueling forward momentum in the right direction, he led the church backwards in terms of understanding woman’s value and why this is crucial for our society.

Very friendly staff and people. They teach the Bible relating it to today with humor. Many outreach programs. Also has satellite churches and can view online

Love Harvest! Pastor Vern is fabulous at giving his sermons, they always touch me. I love this church!

Elk Fever was an incredibly fun day. My grandchildren had a great time, and the sessions were worth the time.
