We LOVE this place!!!! 20 bucks for our whole family and we spend a couple of hours learning about tsunamis, wave energy, oysters, rockfish and all sorts of marine life. The octopus was amazing and the kids loved the touch pools with anemones, urchins, starfish and a sea cucumber. The staff/volunteers are super friendly and helpful, they love what they do and it's evident in their knowledge and demeanor. It's all very interactive and hi-tech. Our favorite is the geology sandbox, the coolest invention ever! We easily spent 30 minutes just at that table. I highly recommend we go every summer - worth the detour!

Beat all my expectations by far!! Interactive, informative, and most of all fun! The gift shop had unique pieces of jewelry for me, souvenirs to put in our new apartment, and awesome toys for our niece. Would recommend for anyone who’s been to the Oregon Coast Aquarium a million times and wants a different experience (more like the touch tank area at the OCA but everywhere). Memorable and fantastic experience!

Very interactive and informative! I spent about an hour or so here travelling solo, just exploring the exhibits and learning about plate tectonics, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, and marine life. Most things were very interactive and could be enjoyed by both kids and adults. Plan to spend at least an hour there - or two. Admission is by donation with recommended $5. Well worth it - especially for those of you with kids!

Hatfield is amazing! Admission is whatever you feel is fair, and there are tons of amazingly informative, interactive science displays, with living specimens of numerous pacific wild life (including the octopus!) It's great for the whole family, especially with it's feeling pool. I honestly have a better time here than at the aquarium, and without the aquarium's big price tag. They're clised for renovation through February, so I don't get to visit on this trip, but will definitely return in the future.
