I’ve read great things about Haven Life but it turns out that their Simple term life insurance isn’t so simple. I applied almost 3 months ago for the simple plan so that I wouldn’t have to take a medical exam. I expected to receive approval within a few days, but it’s been a few months and I haven’t heard from them despite the handful of tickets and emails I’ve sent to the customer service team. I’ll be looking elsewhere for insurance.
I have applied for Term Life insurance and it was approved within 2 days without any medical exam and got the best rate compare to the Competitors. Process seems to be pretty straight forward, easy and they only asked my copy of Green Card. I recommend anyone who wanted the term life insurance with no medical issues can go with Haven Life.
The initial process was smooth but then our insurance cost doubled from what we were originally estimated and we were given two weeks to make a decision. I called several times and sent 4 emails and never once heard back during the two week period. I could never recommend a life insurance company that is not transparent and is unresponsive.
Believe the negative reviews and apply elsewhere. I applied 2 months ago for their "simple" plan and the only thing I've received is their so called email updates that provide no information. I've since canceled my application and will be applying with a more reputable company.
If I could give 0 stars I would! This company is trash! It took two months for them even to look at my husbands application after many inquiries from me checking up on the process. Then we finally scheduled the medical exam, and that nurse was amazing! But then now a month later after the medical exam, we are just hearing back from haven life saying his application was cancelled because he didn’t have a medical exam in time. Really haven life, you need to get your stuff together. I can’t imagine if this is the application process what it would be like to get what you were due if something God forbid did happen to your love one on one of their policies. No thank you!
I've been waiting a month now for a quote. It seemed like I didn't need a physical when I signed up but ended up requiring one. The first appointment was a no call no show. For the second, they were late by half an hour and Haven just told me after I reached out numerous times after weeks of radio silence that the exam company forgot to upload the exam results so now I have to wait longer. So far this has been a frustrating waste of time.
I found out about Haven Life due to their great reviews and high ranking on Nerd Wallet. Easy to apply and receive a quote. Prices are great compared to many other insurers I looked at. Smooth and simple online experience and they keep you informed about the process along the way. I appreciate having coverage while waiting for medical exam. Medical exam was easy to schedule and they were able to come to my home- done in 20-25 minutes. Customer service has been great so far. Hoping to never have to use this insurance/ receive payout, but I like having the confidence that my family will be protected and financially secure.
The process was neither quick nor easy. I submitted an application to Haven Life at the end of July, near the start of August. Then gave feedback on the follow-up questions as well. However, since then, I have not received a response via email or phone call. Even when I do place a phone call, they do not have an option to place a voice-mail, even when there us a voice-mail message given. So far, not much follow up has been giving around the process. The portal does not indicate what status the application is in either. My spouse's approval was fairly quick but after seeing my experience with this whole application process, he might be reconsidering his options.
Trash insurance. Applied two months ago and I have yet been able to speak to anyone about my quote or policy. Any questions asked via email or chat goes unanswered. Any voicemail left gets unreturned. How the heck am I suppose to know they will pay out to my beni if I passed away. Are my beneficiaries going to have such a hard time getting a hold of a person? Also.. there are other places with better policies with living benefits ... For the same price
Its been 7 weeks… still receiving an automated response on mondays but zero follow up from them. We should email Mitch Ocampo, head of haven life. They do not respond to any form of contact: email, phone, chat on their website. Hours seem fake, automated emails say m-f but the website indicates m-th. Very poor customer service. Trying to get in touch since August. Should be reported to NY state attorney general for consumer protection. Beware: they collect your info and store in their servers. Information collected could affect other insurers. Unethical. Like others have said, high rates.
