Absolutely horrible for residential customers. I've had to re-setup autopay 3 times. They stop it for no reason at all then send cutoff notices. Their website is not customer friendly and is antiquated. Requires a customer to mail or fax information to setup autopay. Fax... who the h$ll has a fax machine. They must be one of the last companies that do not allow you to setup payments online. I've now mailed info 2 times and still can't get it setup. Too bad they basically have a monopoly =P Calling their customer service number just puts you on hold and a bunch of canned, non-helpful answers.
We moved to the island about a year ago and have been very impressed with the quality and responsive service of the gas company. The workers that come out to replace our tanks are very kind, easy to work with and fast. We appreciate how quickly they replace our tanks and are thankful for their time.
Customer service is a joke, I never got my billing fir the last 2 months and the low tier customer service rep started saying that its my fault since they never received a return to sender and I should check my mailing address, strange since everyone else that has my address has zero problems sending me stuff, not that it's even required since they do everything electronically. The phone reps also told me they will email me the statement which I have yet to receive so I guess I'm gonna have to call these losers again to do their job. God forbid they have to lift a finger to do something
One of the supervisors talked to the employe horribly. He was so rude and condescending to his employee and even made me uncomfortable. I feel bad for the poor guy who had to work with him… it was completely unprofessional and honestly I don’t think he deserves to be in charge of anyone if he’s going to talk to people like that. Gross. If he talked to him in front of me like that I wonder what he talks like away from others.
Richard Silva you have no idea how thankful I am for you to have been the technician who came out to service my home. Immediately when I first met him I love them from the start he came in with a big smile introduced himself and said hello to myself and my family members .With being a new homeowner and having all of these issues one after another I've been so overwhelmed. I've never had gas before and had no clue what I was doing or what to expect. Richard took the time to show me how my gas appliances worked step by step. He congratulated me on purchasing my first home and gave me some tips that work for him which I really appreciated. He even assisted me with taking down the plywood I boarded up my doors with for the hurricane. Although he didn't need to assist he jumped right in and I'm so thankful for that. Richard is such a huge asset to Hawaii Gas Company because he knows how to work well with customers and takes the time to explain everything. Thank you so much for the bottom of my heart Richard for such an amazing experience with Hawaii Gas Company. You will definitely be requested for any future repairs we will need.
GREAT service always! When filling our tank, the gas man would always make small talk with my elder father who had Alzheimers. And when my father passed and they had to remove the tank they flooded us with their condolences and showed such care and Aloha. Our family is so grateful for your service all these years!
