All the Bridges here in Portland are unique in their own and architecturally amazing way. I love walking and biking over them. Portland is awesome. Highly recommend morning and sunset walks.
Great view. Very clean and great bridge. I hope you like the pictures and check this place out.
Gorgeous!! Love walking along the esplanade and crossing the Hawthorne to waterfront park, sitting on the bench at the "beach" under the tree and feeding the geese! They all know me now and come running when they see me!
Being the oldest of its kind, the Hawthorn Bridge is one of the first ever bridges holding together both sides of Portland. It is also one of the few lift bridges that still exist to this day.
From eastside river bank an walk out almost midriver
One of my favorite bridges in a city full of lovely bridges. Walking across this, you'll inevitably stop a few times to take in the beautiful view of both the city and the river, especially at night.
Have come by here a few times and even watched the fireworks by the ledge on the 4th. Place has a great view where you can see the river and parked boats clearly. There are two lanes each designated for pedestrians and cyclists. Runners often travel across this bridge because it leads to a different path.
Love the view of the bridge. Went there two days in a row to see the view during the visit.
A lovely stroll through this bridge will leave you in awe from the fantastic view of the city and other Bridges along the river. Worth a visit/walk if you're from out of town
