Haynor's Garden Design, Inc. is a family owned and operated business founded in 1982 by George N. Haynor. In 1992, George began maintaining both commercial and residential properties while studying Florida plants. He began offering customers his services in landscape design and installation. By 1996 HGDI became incorporated and hired its first employees. At that point a full crew was providing maintenance while George became certified in pond and waterfall building and earned his Commercial Landscape Maintenance license from the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Since that time two more maintenance crews and an installation crew have been employed year round. HGDI now employs 14 people fulltime and Amy (George’s wife), who retired in 2005 from her 22 year career in education to take care of the office work fulltime. George continues to gain as much industry knowledge as he can and now also has his Certified Pool and Spa Operator and Hazmat certifications, as well as a license in Best Management Practices from the State of Florida.
