I just had a wonderful massage with Bella. I asked for deep tissue - and she checked often to make sure I was OK. The pressure was perfect - sometimes it was intense, but I like it that way. This place is no frills but I was very impressed with the quality of the massage. The first half was through the sheet then oil was used later. I intended to go for just an hour but requested another half hour and got it. Very satisfied. Price was extremely reasonable.
I had foot reflexology. It was great! My feet were so tight and swelling, but after the massage, they felt lighter!! I didn't make an appointment, but they took me in. The staff was very kind. The room was clean and so cozy that I was almost falling asleep. I will come back here again!
The massage was okay but not great. Not much oil or pressure was used. The staff was nice until they pressured me into giving them a tip, and that made me uncomfortable because I didn’t feel like my experience was worth any extra.
Linda went above & beyond! The pressure was persistent throughout the entire hour. Other spas will massage for 15 mins & rub me down the rest of time but not here! I am leaving extremely relaxed & happy! I have tried two other massage places on South Street, one had a foul oder coming from the bed & there was constant interruptions. Healing hands is definitely the best in the area & got a loyal customer out of me.
I have had many massages in my life and wish I had discovered this place earlier. I have now been here about 15 times. Best massages I’ve ever had! A few things on what to expect: this place is very clean but otherwise no frills probably why it’s so affordable. There is relaxing music, but since they use partitions instead of walls, you may occasionally hear things like the door opening, some talk at the front, a phone buzzing. If you’re looking for an entirely uninterrupted, fancier spa-like experience, you might prefer elsewhere. But if your main goal is to work out stiff muscles and pain, this place is second to none. They won’t hesitate to use pressure if you ask for it, which has done far more for me than any so called “deep tissue” massages at more Westernized places. They’ll usually start by massaging you firmly through the sheet to work out major areas of stiffness, and then move on to doing more precise work with oils. I think the combination is more effective than oils alone. There’s also usually a little pulling and stretching involved. The therapists are REALLY good at intuitively finding trouble spots and working them out. Honestly, they’re all so good that I don’t even choose a specific person like I would at other places. As an FYI, they tend to be less shy than the westernized places I’ve been to about working on your hips and glutes. Which I think is great because it does wonders for pain and stiffness, but it might also catch more modest people off guard. If you aren’t comfortable having your butt worked on I would let them know. The staff have always been very friendly and polite. The place is cash only, and you pay before your session, but there is an ATM.
I have gotten MANY massages in my life. And when I first walked in this place, to be honest, I was a little skeptical. But that’s also just who I am : once I was in the room, my therapist Mila gave me instructions to take off my clothes and leave on my underwear. The room was small but clean and serene. The first few minutes she began massaging with a sheet over me. I hoped she’d take it off and use oil, but I was still impressed with how strong and accurate she was even through the sheet. Then the sheet did get moved to my legs and she continued with the oil. This was easily one of the BEST massages I’ve ever had! Mila found all my sore spots and gave just enough pressure to break up the knots, but not enough pressure to make me flinch. She asked me several times of the pressure was ok, which was also perfect. I feel so relaxed and much less sore. I think I’ve finally found my new massage place! Amazing price as well!
Love this place! Great for couples massage. Very clean and professional
Mediocre massage, they use little to none oil on your body. They are very flexible so if you’re in dire need of a new masseuse with flexibility. They are the right place to visit. They inquire about your comfort level each step of the way. I found them on Groupon, I think it takes off like $5-$10. I would advise taking that route first to determine if it’s the ideal place for you.
Call ahead to ask for their "walk on back" massage option. It won't be an entire 60 minutes session but definitely worth the experience and relief. The team here is always accommodating and super skilled.
