Highly recommended this violin shop. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The instruments were well maintained. I rented a conservatory level cello and I was very satisfied. I would recommend this shop to my friends and students, and I will definitely come back next time if I need to rent a cello again.
Patient and courteous staff. We came to get a bow rehaired as well as look for a bow upgrade. We didn't feel any sales pressure and got good personal space to test the bows on our own.
This is definitely one of the best strings store in the Bay Area. Their service is top notch and staffs are super friendly. We've been renting from Heaney for years with 3 kids. Now, we're in the buying process and Heaney Violin had allowed us to take out instrument to try for 1 week each time. Trying without pressure! It's a big decision and an investment so they are super helpful and never rush us into making that decision. Kudos to the staffs and this entire establishment. They deserve all the business here!! I just had my cello repaired here, and it was a really positive experience! I have a used cello that needed several small things repaired. The staff I met with Patrick and Terra were incredibly knowledgeable and provided a lot of options I could choose from. The luthier who worked on my cello was able to fix it quickly and I get my cello back sooner than expected. And I'm so happy it sounds so much better than when I took it in!
They are so nice and very kind to introduce multiple instruments. They have a nice room to try and you can take an instrument to try for a week

I am a violin teacher from First Movement Music Academy in Sunnyvale. I have always recommended my students to come here for any violin issues from rental, buying to fixing. The service here is always good and professional.
The service is not same as before. The current stuffs I met don’t know violin, cannot even tune the violin. So they just help you to do the transaction paper work and hand in the violin. You won’t be able to compare different violins. Moreover, they just keep asking you to upgrading. They don’t know customer’s needs, only want the quick transaction. Very disappointed!
It's truly a blessing to have a shop like this near me; I would drive multiple hours to get this kind of service. Patrick has been incredibly helpful and patient throughout the entire process of buying a cello, and has stayed with me after hours many times now helping me try bows and cellos. The rest of the staff is also amazing. They're always polite and understanding, even when I forgot to return my approval on time! I cannot recommend Patrick's store highly enough.
I literally found this place years ago when it was just opening up! The owner has a real passion for strings and is one of the most helpful people I've ever known. Years ago I was interested in learning the violin and I rented a violin and found a teacher through here - my old old? He's half my age or so! teacher still works here as far as I know. This place is a real gem.
