Very intimate vibe, great for dates or small groups. Great selection of wines and the food is amazing. Portions were perfect. And our waiter was so amazing and thoughtful. My friend was visiting from KS and he had a special desert brought for us. I can’t wait to bring more people here.
Such a great hidden gem of a restaurant! One of a few spots that offers most of their menu as small plates or large portions, which allows you to try a bunch of items! We ordered the lobster penne, shrimp with sausage, rabbit tagliatelle, and the NY Strip with apple chutney. The lobster penne and steak with apple chutney were my top two, but everything was really delicious. They also started us with bread and olive oil - I could have eaten an entire loaf of the bread!! Also, my friend booked us for a table outside, but the weather was not the best when we went and they sat us at the bar without a problem. Would definitely go back to try out more items on the menu.
Delicious meal on a Friday night. We got reservations on open table the day before. When we got there, it was crowded, but we were seated within 5 minutes. The service was top notch and food was great. We got the curry pea soup, yak stickers, West Indian shrimp this was the only dish that was a bit disappointing because the shrimp was overcooked and the rabbit tagliatelle. Finished it off with a great mud pie dessert!
Good service, nice cocktails, liked all the entrees ordered. I would skip the crab cakes, but definitely recommend the grilled tuna!
Came here New Year’s Eve for a nice meal and it did not disappoint. Restaurant was very intimate and homely with a perfect atmosphere. Had the set New Years menu which was very expensive but the food quality was brilliant, portions were perfect and we got a free glass of Prosecco too mock tail was offered for under 21s! Our waiter was the best we’ve ever had anywhere- so thoughtful, caring, funny and made our evening as perfect as he could. Don’t know his name but he was perfect great tattoo on his arm. Water glasses were never empty which was awesome and service was just exceptional. If your tall it’s a bit cramped but it’s all so great it doesn’t really matter- a perfect night out.
Wonderful experience! The game dinner was well-prepared and varied. The cocktail menu had lots of tempting offerings. The service was top-notch. I look forward to returning.Food: 5/5
Service was great, food was good, but not good enough to justify the price, in my opinion. I wanted to show my daughter that when you pay more, you get into another dimension of food experience. Well we didn't quite get there. Food was well prepared but I was hoping for something more sophisticated, more "special". You get a meat or fish and a sauce, and whatever side you order with it. Food was alright, my cocktail was good, and the server was great. But it came way short of my expectations at this price point, especially when I feel confident that I can cook something better at home. Oh well.
I do not understand the other positive reviews. The food was bland, dry, and horribly overpriced. I got the duck with mushrooms and there was no flavor and almost no mushrooms. Just a dry piece of duck with a small dollop of sauce. And it was $36. On top of that, the ambiance is awful. From the outside, and based on the prices, it seems like a fairly upscale and cozy neighborhood restaurant. But inside is in disrepair, with the tables literally falling apart and a gaudy neon sign casting an awkward light on the dining area. The service was fine but the management/ownership must be truly terrible to make the place this bad…
Party of 8 for a birthday dinner. Food ranges from mediocre to a ‘medium rare’ steak served charred but completely raw. Clearly frozen and not thawed before grilling. No apology, nothing whatsoever comped. Avoid.
Walking past the signage caught my eye. Few places are true to their word when it comes to wild game on their menu, and fewer still actually offer any. Due to the pandemic we were seated outdoors, which was very pleasant as we weren't on the street as most locales now are. It gave Henry's a bistro-like feel that was really welcomed. The tables, with the black chalk paint and the foam underneath to cushion knees was a nice touch. A simple artesanal bread selection to start with was well received. The clan chowder was flavorful and my spouse thoroughly enjoyed its flavors. We had an incredible experience with their pistachio crusted goat cheese salad that made our eyes roll back from the flavor explosion. The elk, prepared at the chef's suggestion was TO DIE FOR. Perfectly caramelized and tender, the hints of rosemary and no taste of gaminess, whatsoever. The staff is on point with the wine pairings and made the experience all the better. Come and enjoy
