It was great starting with talking to Edgar who was informative about car availability and very kind and courtesy. Rodrigo the sales consultant went above what he needed to do. He reviewed the car details and made it easy to understand. I was anxious and he drove with me when I followed my brother-in- law to return our rental. A real gentleman for sure. Our experience in the finance department was excellent. We met with Stefania who was so pleasant to work with. I had a great team. A plus experience.
Terrible service department, walk-in for oil change at 2, the estimated time given by the front desk is 2 hours to 2.5 hours. Finished work at 4:30 and parked for pickup. I didn't get the paperwork for payment until 5:30. I told the front desk I need to come back to NY today, and they even don't care about it.
Chris, Howie and the entire team at Herb Chambers Toyota of Boston are a pleasure to work with. They helped us find the right vehicle, with the features we wanted, and made it easy and pleasant to complete the purchase. Their attention to detail helped us plan all aspects of the vehicle. I had a great experience purchasing my car here. It’s a tough market for buyers, and an especially tough market if you’re looking for a RAV4 Hybrid like I was but Carlos Rivas at the Boston Herb Chambers made the whole process super smooth. I had a really terrible experience at a different Toyota dealership where I was talked down to and dismissed, but Herb Chambers Boston was a 180 turnaround from that thanks to Carlos. He and the financing department worked with me to get the car I wanted with the financing I wanted, as I was in fact a qualified buyer, and answered all my questions. There was nothing but mutual respect with this team and Carlos worked with me to get my registration ASAP so I could get everything I needed. I talked to a lot of Dealerships and a lot of sales people all over the state but I’m grateful I went with Carlos and the Boston team and highly recommend anyone else to.
Edgar has left a lasting impression on us all and we had the most pleasurable experience buying a car from Herb Chambers. He was so personable, professional, and really made us feel taken care of. Everyone we encountered at Herb Chambers was so so nice even then Edgar still stood out to us. 10/10 experience! Would buy 10 more cars just to have Edgar take care of us again.
We have generally had a wonderful experience with Herb Chambers, but yesterday I spent 3 and half hours there for an oil change. After more than two hours, I asked for the status and was told of a number of major repairs I would need. None of them seemed to make sense to me, and when they brought me to the car, it was not my car. It turns out they had misplaced my car. They quickly found it, and then I was promised just another 15 minutes, but it was more than an hour before the oil change was completed. I had scheduled a weekday appointment, so one would think an hour would be more than sufficient. Why it took so long was baffling.
Excellent service and attitude every time I come in for service. You can drive in without an appointment if you need an oil change or have a light on. Comfortable waiting room with coffee bar. I would definitely buy another car here and highly recommend Chambers dealerships. Barry Twomey
Sean was great! Our Rav4 needed a new switch for the adaptive cruise which was covered under warranty. We also had new Michelin tires installed. Overall Sean made the experience easy in getting the repairs done.
My request for service. in response to a warning from the manufacturers, was met with immediate action. Personnel were responsive and very supportive, while telling me how the issues would be addressed. A report of their work was presented to me upon completion of the job. I have always experienced favor, respect and support from Toyota of Boston whenever I sought services during my twenty plus years of working with them. Yesterday, August 17, did not disappoint. I booked an appointment to book a new car for the next day, when I went there the next day, it was sold out. Edgar didn't even find it important enough to tell his potential customers about it. They are charging $4K over MSRP*. Be aware, their website about the prices is very misleading. I get it you people are in Boston and the demand is high but when the customer asks on the phone about the price, be a little honest about it and save people their trip, don't mislead them like Edgar did. On the other side, thanks Jay for being understanding and helping out with the situation. I appreciate it.
