Herndon Police Department

During the almost 4 decades I've lived, worked or played in Herndon, I've had occasion to call on our police department for assistance or been with friends when they were stopped for traffic violations. These officers have always demonstrated professionalism, compassion and regard for service to and safety in our community. And, because the town of Herndon is relatively small in comparison to the county, response times are very quick.

Herndon cop came up from behind me at high speed just literally ran me out of my lane with no lights on. This was not even 5minutes ago. He wasn't even responding to anything.... Just pulling into their Motor pool facility on Rock Hill Rd. Very unprofessional!!

I live in ca, I have a friend that lives in Herndon and I hadnt heard from him in a while. I asked the police to do a welfare check and they were amazing. I found out he is in the hospital and can now act on that information. Thank You!!

I locked my keys inside my car at work, they helped me out within 15 min and I was all set. Generally had good interaction with the officers they always treat me professionaly and with respect.

Dont count on them actually showing up. If they do come, dont count on them actually doing anything...they wouldnt want it to mess up their crime reports, especially if it involves illegals, "minority" groups in any way, suicides, random people found dead, and so on. For the most part, unless it happens to you or you actually see it, chances are you wont hear about it. Dont believe the crime reports for Herndon, Reston, Fairfax and the area as a whole. Bogus.
