The scheduling was great, the class went very well. The instructor was also nice and made sure everyone are on the same page. Although it’s been more than a week since I took the class and been checking my emails including the spam folder since then, but doesn’t mean to have it yet. I hope there’s a way to get it as soon as possible.
Marty was a great instructor. The quiz was easy, and class ended quicker than expected but I still felt I had learned everything I needed to know and I felt comfortable. I got my card very fast through my email as well.
I would send my employees to do their CPR & first aid training at Hero for Life but they have become completely unresponsive. They don’t pick up calls or email you back. I have an employee who hasn’t received her certificate. She took the course over a month ago and paid. I will be looking for another place to send my employees.
I took the BLS class 11/12. John was a great instructor. The class was informative. I did have some problems getting my ecard. It was not in email or junk mail. Marty took care of it though and all is well now.
Scheduling was easy and the class was good. I would like to give a better score but I cannot get ahold of anyone from this company. I emailed their main email two days ago and got an automated response saying I would get a response in one business day but I have heard nothing. I have called at least 7 times, it goes straight to voicemail and that is full so I cannot leave a message. I have also text the number and received no response in 2 days. I emailed Marty’s email and have heard nothing and went as far as messaging their Facebook page with no response. I took the BLS course 12/17 and understand that it can take a while to get my card from the AHA but I am needing an email or some documentation to provide to my employer saying I completed the course and passed so I can continue seeing patients. I’m extremely frustrated that I cannot get ahold of anyone through any avenue.
My husband and I renewed our CPR and 1at Aid training with Hero this past summer. We both left feeling like we'd learned something new. The instructor was very specific about making sure each person in the class was really grasping the procedures even with the VERY full class that I attended. I've had several phone interactions with Brian and he has been very helpful and courteous every time. Local and friendly business. Well worth the patronage.
Class was great! The instructor was hands on an also taught us BLS an answered all our questions to the best of his knowledge! Everyone had there own mannequin, there was adult an baby mannequins.Very affordable! Inwould recommend them 100%!!!
I don't know if I caught them at a bad time or what.. I needed to get my BLS certification and signed up for a class with Hero for Life. When heading to the class at 9 AM on a Saturday, I received a call that the class was canceled due to a family emergency. Completely understandable, these things come up. I was told that I would receive a call to reschedule my class in about a day. I never received a call. Several days later I called to try and reschedule the class. Keep in mind that I was on a time crunch to get my BLS. I called several times and there was no answer and voicemail was full so I could not leave a message. I sent an email to try and reschedule and received a response from Brian that there was a makeup class on Wednesday night. I told him that I would attend this class. I show up to the class and they acted surprised as if I was not on the class schedule. However, the class itself went very smooth and was informative. Upon completion of the class, after I took my test I was told that there were no more BLS cards and that they had to order more. I was assured that I would be sent a PDF copy immediately and the real card would soon be mailed to me. A couple weeks passed and I had not received anything, PDF or physical copy. I sent an email to Brian to inquire and did not hear anything back. After not hearing anything for a week I called Brian who rudely told me that they still had not received the cards and that they are on back order. He told me to send him an email and he would send the card in a PDF. I told him I did already sent him a email one week ago. He did send me the card via email but my name was spelled wrong on the card seriously I took the class AND have an email trail with my name in it... I immediately replied telling him my name was spelled wrong. No response. I desperately emailed his business partner with whom I took the class with asking for another copy as my name was spelled wrong. No response. This was now cutting it very close to the deadline for my BLS certification and I still had no proof that I took the class, almost a month ago. I sent another email to Brian pleading with him to send my card with my name spelled right and finally I got it. No apology or anything. It was a very stressful experience for me. I took the class about 5 months ago now and never did receive the actual card in the mail. The class was good but working with these people outside of that was an absolute nightmare, very poor customer service. I will not use them again.
The instructor was good, very quiet, however It has now been 2 weeks since I took the class and no one in my group has received their cards. We have called several times only to leave a voicemail that never gets a reply. I'm very disappointed in the customer servic.
The class was great. It was hands on and very informative. All my questions were answered, the information was well presented and easy to follow, and the instructor was passionate in what he was conveying. I feel confident after the class that I can assist and perform first aid and cpr. I highly recommend Hero for Life.
