Heston Farm

As a local, I like to frequent places owned and operated by locals, and share my experiences. That being said, here goes. Have been here quite a few times. The first time was decent enough. Food was average. Atmosphere was decent. All in all. Not a bad time. However, I like to give my personal opionins and have been here a total of 6 times over the past year, each time it went downhill. The food: Mediocre to lousy. The owners: Lousy to down right rude The atmosphere: Average to mediocre What I liked about it the best? Leaving at the end of the service. What I liked least about it? Not enough room. So. In all fairness, each person has their own taste, flair and style. In this persons review, will not be back for number 7. There are way better places around that here. If you want lousy service, food and attitude from the owners, then come here. If you want better, try someplace else. Oh. Their wine, worst around. No wonder it sells so cheap and you cab buy it along the side of the road.

A nice little gem tucked away in Fairmont, WV. You drive through a residential area before getting to the distillery, so don't be alarmed. I took a few minutes to taste the shines and whisky before having a bite to eat at the restaurant. It's a very clean and well run place that's easily one a spot I'd spend an afternoon at. I had the fried green tomatoes and wings. Both were excellent. Prices are a little on the higher side, but you get what you pay for. Delicious.

Great food. Great service. Did a whiskey tasting, love their rhubarb whiskey. Will be back again for sure!

I liked the wine. Beautiful view and nice atmosphere. Nice staff. We did not try the restaurant because it was closed.
