Lovely little bakery in west Cambridge on the way to alewife. Came in for a quick coffee and snack and loved the selection of sandwiches, breads, and the wine/champagne on offer. Seemed very busy for a Tuesday afternoon, which made our time there fun. Hope to come back again soon !
This place is GREAT! Already one of my favorites in the area. Food: best sandwich I’ve had in a very long time. I had the “Luke rocks the free world” sandwich and it would melt in my mouth.
Was in the area for work and stopped in for lunch. I am not usually a sandwich person but I tried one of the veggie sandwiches that had goat cheese and sweet potato. Was SO good. I bought a baguette for home. They also had a great selection of wine and bakery items looked amazing. Staff was super friendly. I will be back. :
The sandwiches are unmatched. Incredible flavors, fresh ingredients, so delicious. Amazing pastries and breads. Wonderful teas. If I could give them ten stars, I would.
Delicious! Mostly local produce used for their sandwiches, devine drinks. I love that they also floral arrangements from local businesses too. Dessert is decedent, I strongly recommend a coffee and a dessert.
come here for the bread, not the coffee. They have lots of sandwiches.
Food was delicious — we got a chopped salad with roasted chicken and braised short ribs. WARNING: Short ribs are described as being for 1-2 people but it’s barely a serving for 1 person...My BF ended up having to get something else to eat because this was not sufficient as an “entree meal”. For the price of $17 we were expecting a bit more...If you do get it, consider it for 1 person and get multiple sides.
This is our favorite bakery. My husband still drives over once in a while, even though he keeps no carb diet. Their home made jam also beyond words... yes they are expensive, staff not very friendly, and often packed, and parking is not easy. But still our fav. Also their wine and liquor selection and my tastes don’t agree, but hey it’s a bakery.
Wish we had read the reviews before coming in. Rude and incompetent staff. We were told about 10 minutes for our order. After 25 and dealing with a very aloof employee, we sat down to flavorless sandwiches. I’m sure what was once a beautiful piece of bread was toasted to death. If you love tearing your mouth apart while eating, this may be the place for you. $16 for a sandwich in general is slightly exorbitant and especially so for what you get here. Will absolutely not be returning. One star for the lemonade.
Went here for breakfast and it was worth the trek!! We went on a weekday at 9 and it was still pretty packed so I'm sure it's bustling on weekends. We got breakfast sandwiches that were phenomenal, mini banana muffins, a ginger cookie and a chocolate cone to go plus a loaf of the Pain d'épices for my family I was visiting. Yes we spent about $50 on baked goods and breakfast but it was delicious and expertly executed
