Highly recommended. This establishment is a reminder of yesteryear. A genuine old fashioned barber shop straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting. The proprietors are friendly, funny and very professional. They also play some great music. Patrick gave me the best haircut and beard trim that I've ever had and my wife said that I looked like a new man. He takes his time and is a real master of his craft. The pricing is a bit on the higher side but well worth it for the level of service that you recieve. Oh, and bring CASH, they don't take cards.Services: Beard trim
If you’re looking for an old fashioned barbershop that’s gives a good haircut or shave, this is the place. Located in High Point Terrace near the Greenline. There’s plenty of parking around back. Get there early, though: on the weekend customers show up early and wait for them to open. Bring cash
This was our first time here but it won't be the last. We just love my husbands and sons haircuts. Mr. Patrick is the best barber in MemphisService: Haircut
Great place to get a hair cut friendly barber's that do great work. May be a long wait for a hair cut or shave and don't forget to bring extra cash it is on the higher end for a hair cut or shave but over all it is worth going.
You can tell these guys work hard at their craft and Chris proved that with my son. My son has thick course hair and with failed attempts elsewhere I knew he just needed a gentleman’s cut. I had heard good things about this place and we enjoyed the banter and atmosphere. My son isn’t a fan of having his haircut but always asks to go back to this place. A week later still telling me how much he loves his cut. At $29 it was a little pricey for me to spend on my 9 year old every cut but you get what you pay for so it’s hard to complain. Bring cash and make time to wait your turn. This is a barber shop not your mamas house. Be respectful and it will be returned.
Was terrible service waited an hour never even got my hair cutService: Haircut
D-majik aka Derek is an amazing barber always gets my beard on point
First time in a while that I've been this pleased with a haircut. Patrick takes his time and does a great job. Worth the price, bring cash.
After the huge disappointment at Mid-City Barber Shop all the old guys retired, the new management is not so great IMO, I set out to find a new place to get what's left of my hair cut. After a revolting drop-in at Fantastic Sam's McLean & Madison, where I was greeted, asked my name, parked in the waiting area and forgotten. Vividly reminded me why I'd sworn off such awful assembly-line shampoo-and-shear mills back in the 80s, I left with nary a word said and wound up at High Point. I have to say that I enjoyed my experience at High Point. I'd read a few reviews so I knew the price was about $25 bucks or so, and I was also therefore not surprised at the wait. BUT, the guys were friendly, the music was varied and mostly pretty good. Most importantly the barbers were congenial and willing to converse or not and the haircut was great. I forget which one I had, but he took great care to trim all the old-man hairs sprouting from everywhere but the top of my pate, gave me a nice neck shave and rubbed it all down post-cut with some great old-school lotion. I will go back and pay the price - these days I seriously doubt there's a better place anywhere near midtown. I'd give them the full rate, but I'm deducting one star because of the price. If you don't mind a $26 haircut, consider it a 5-star joint.
This is an old school barber shop. They do straight razor shaves, beard trimming/shaping and of course hair cuts. Everyone there is great at what they do so you really can't go wrong no matter who takes care of you. Chris took great care of me and I'll definitely go back to him again. Their service is worth the price without a doubt...
