Highly recommend this company to redo your hardwood floors. I just bought a house with paint covering the entire 2nd floor hardwood, and was anxious to see how I could revitalize the floors. Daniel came by to quote it and was confident his team could restore them, whereas other vendors did not inspire confidence. That plus the competitive price he quoted is why I went with Highland Hardwood. His team leader, Alex, was professional and timely, getting the job done over 5 days only ~12 hours total work time. One call is all it took... We were ready and so were they! Daniel Thank you so much for your prompt and efficient service. We spoke with 3 different companies before we found you! From the first call, to measuring to completion it took a week and half. We now have beautiful red oak floors with Special Walnut finish. We love them. The team arrived when they said they would, they worked 8 hours, they kept the work area clean and, the system they use kept dust to a minimum. Sandra was so patient with me as I made my color selections. And Daniel walked the finished floors to insure that the job was well done. One thing I love most is how Highland stands behind what they do. We can't wait to finish the first floor. Thank you Sandra, Daniel, Rebecca, Juan, and Lorenzo.

Wow is the only word I have for this experience. The highland flooring team was kind, prompt and thorough. Rebekah was very responsive and easy to get along with. After we had to push back our start date due to contractors being in and out, they quickly worked us back in as soon as they could which was sooner than we were even expecting. We knew exactly what we would be paying and when they were starting. Michael the crew leader was so professional as was the rest of his team. They were very communicative and thorough and walked us through every step of the process. They worked quickly and efficiently and went above and beyond. They even got the job done one day earlier than what was expected not sacrificing any quality. After 45 years my hardwood flooring was refinished with a new stain and multiple coatings of sealer. The crew team was efficient and sanded my old floors without adding the extra expense of replacing damaged floorboards. I am so pleased with Michael and his team. I can’t recommend them enough!

Highland Hardwood Flooring refinished a 23-year old, high traffic and highly faded, red-stained white oak floor for us. They sanded it down and stained it to a dark gray color. Our floor looks fantastic. Everyone that paid us a visit during the process was very polite, professional and productive. The overall process took 5 days and the team communicated with us throughout the entire process with a group text and, with in-person interactions. The most impressive part of the entire process is that, every single time someone from this company told us they would be here "at 4 tomorrow," or "in the morning around 10," they showed up precisely when they said they would. This made it very easy for us to schedule work and activities around the floor refinishing. Without this respect for ours and their time, this process could have easily taken much longer or could have been frustrating. Actually, there was no frustration with anything other than staying out of our kitchen, which is necessary for this kind of work and not the fault of the company; it's just part of the process. I would use this company again if I had more floors to refinish and I would gladly recommend them to anyone in need of their services. Alex led the crew that refinished our floor and everyone was professional, polite and skilled. They explained things that we needed to know and were very open to our questions. Even when we experienced a power outage - due to wind - they expressed no frustration and rolled with it, still finishing when they said they would finish. Their timing and promptness was very impressive. There are 3 "before" pictures showing red-tinted stain and grooves/scratches in the floor then, there are 4 "after" pictures showing the new floor, with one picture demonstrating how well narrow and hard to reach areas were sanded and stained. I am so glad I went with Highland Hardwood Flooring. My floors look amazing, but what I am really impressed with is the customer service and turnaround time. I called them initially for an estimate on a Monday, and my floors were finished by the next Monday. They were very communicative and kept me updated through the whole process. I was able to understand every expense, and I didn't feel like they tried to upsell me or get me to spend more than I wanted. I would recommend them to everyone.

We are incredibly pleased with the flooring installation and refinishing that Highland Hardwood's team delivered. We provided 100-yr old wood that I knew was in good shape but uncertain of how it would ultimately look. Each crew member on-site was very friendly, professional, and efficient. The job took a total of 5 days including the return trips for coating to be applied, dried, and re-applied, for a total of 3 coats but after the first few stages I had full trust that they were going to make this floor look great. For anyone considering investing in their home, this is a company you can trust to do their very best at making your vision a reality. And one day when we get around to reviving the existing floors that were already in the house, we will be calling them to come back! Thanks again to the whole team and fantastic job!

Best flooring company in Louisville! I originally reached out to Highland Hardwood Flooring in 2013 for help with my first property that was a "fixer upper" in Old Louisville. Portions of the original hardwood floors were covered over with laminate flooring and all of the original floors were in pretty bad shape with stains and signs of previous sanding that was done incorrectly. Highland Hardwood Flooring came in and completely transformed my place bringing the original hardwood floors back to life. They patched pieces of missing floor that matched exactly and stained the floors to go with the look I wanted in my place. I loved what they did then and the floors still look amazing today! After having such a great experience with Highland Hardwood Flooring with my condo they were the first and only company I would call to help me out professionally. My company owns a suite at UofL Cardinal Stadium and it was way overdue for an update. With only 2 weeks to the first football game, Daniel Holyfield the owner, came out and provided us with some great and affordable options for new floors. His crew came in and handled the task of ripping up carpet that had been down since 1998 and padding that was completely glued to the entire floor. They tackled the issue of a big electrical conduit running across the middle of the floor which is not ideal when you want smooth flooring without any humps/bumps and we ended up with beautiful new floors just in time for kickoff. Our team could not be more pleased with how the suite turned out and, in my opinion, the most important piece was the floors! Daniel and his team are professional, dependable, very skilled at what they do and are just great people overall!
