Our experience with Highlight Solar has been excellent. They are customer-focused. They will not pressure you into contract. They did not try to oversell me on the solar system size and did not try to sell me products I did not need. Their battery solution is excellent and works great. Excellent customer service. My solar consultant Leo did an excellent job explaining the system to me. Dean was always a phone call away. They offer excellent solar panels options and help you choose the best fit for your budget. I would highly recommend Highlight Solar to anyone looking into solar energy or battery storage.

We installed our system about a year ago. It is doing great. We had an excellent experience with Highlight Solar from the beginning till the end. The whole Team was very professional and responsive. Our solar consultant Ali has a great sense of empathy for the client interests, and awareness of their level of knowledge. Dean was involved as needed. Chris, the crew lead, was very supportive as well. They did not try to oversell us on the size of the solar system. We love how our system looks and functions - really nice!. The price is very competitive. We highly recommend Highlight Solar.

I live in the San Lorenzo Valley, near Santa Cruz. I got proposals from two solar companies in Santa Cruz and three in San Jose. All had excellent reviews. I don’t think I would have gone far wrong with any of them. But there were significant differences in price and warranty policies. After many emails to clarify details with many of the five installers, I signed a contract with Highlight Solar. I am glad I did. Their price was attractive; their warranty covered every issue and circumstance I could think of. Working with them was about as good an experience as I could have hoped for. There were a couple occasions I needed to be clear and specific about what I wanted, but I never got anything but courteous assent to my requests. Some of those required extra trips on their part from San Jose to my house, almost an hour each way. Others required extra hours of work on their part, such as my preference to place the collector boxes at a location that required some extra conduit routing. There were discussions, but no complaints or extra charges, ever. I particularly enjoyed how multi-cultural the Highlight Solar staff is. The office staff are largely Persian-American, the field guys are mostly Latin-American and the foreman is from Macedonia. All of them are smart, hard-working and eager to satisfy their clients. Most of the companies recommended LG panels and Enphase micro-inverters, which is what Highlight sold me. I am particularly pleased with the Enphase monitoring software which allows me to see exactly how much power I’m getting from the system, by the day, by the quarter-hour, and panel by panel. I am happy to recommend these guys without reservation. They earned my endorsement.

Highlight Solar is indeed one of the Best Solar Companies in California! We are partnering many years and are delighted with their work. They have an amazing customer service. Dean and his team are real professionals. Their work ethic and punctuality are on the top level. This is the company you can rely on every step of the way!

We installed a pretty large system 60-70 panels ~5 years ago with Highlight Solar. It's an amazing experience, in particular I'd like to call out a few things: - Transparent buying process - Extremely responsive communication - Very high degree of responsibility post installation Clearly, I don't have any experience with any other vendor so hard to judge. When choosing who to go with, I know one of my biggest concerns with going with a smaller player was their commitment post-installation. On this point, I've been completely blown away by Dean and Sam who've been handling our installation. If you have this particular concern, you really shouldn't. They're fantastic!

I am very pleased with Highlight solar. These guys are honest, professional, giving you fair price, and are prompt. Dean, Doug, and the team are highly recommended to work with. They installed electric solar panels in ~1.5 months including the city permit. Everything they said happened. I was so pleased, I added pool solar panels. I am so happy I found this company especially after the experience I had with Solar City. I first started the evaluation with Solar City. With Elon Musk reputation I expected a top notch service. Surprisingly, I found Solar City service to be nonprofessional and dishonest. Working with Highlight solar I ended up installing LG solar 300W panels with ephase micro inverter. I highly recommend Highlight solar. P.S - by now I have the solar for year and a half. The solar exceeds my expectations for power generation. and what a great service - every time I call Highlight solar with a question - they promptly return my calls making sure I am fully satisfied. Supplement, May 2021, 5 years after installation: My Highlight electric solar is working as good as new. Unrelated, I needed a fix to my old pool solar system not installed by highlight solar - 10+ years old. The frame broke on these 10 heavy panels. I called highlight solar asking if they could help me even though it has nothing to do with their work. This work requires several people for a short time and obviously not as clean nor profitable as a new system installation. However, highlight solar takes care of their customers when they need help. Before I knew it, my system was fixed. Like before, their team was professional, came on time, and did a great job for more than a fair price. What a customer service!

After a few months research for solar installation companies, we decided to choose Highlight Solar. Their professionalism and good customer service showed us that we made the right decision. This is a well organized company with competent management and installers. Our installation was done last week and we get exactly what we asked for. The whole process was done professionally and quickly, from the beginning till the end. The installers are experienced, skillful and basically know what they do. I also would like to thank to the very kind customer service representatives that helped us and answered all our questions before and during the project. All in all, their service is outstanding. After reviewing three bids for my Solar system I was happy to award the contract to Highlight Solar. Nick was very honest in discussing my requirements and made suggestions to save me money. They were the best price and it was very convenient for them to have an in-house electrician. This made it easy to upgrade my power panel which I already knew needed to be done and coordinate with PGE. They were very timely with the installation and it looks professionally done. There were no surprises and the system production exceeded my expectations. They finished the system install in less than a week and I highly recommend them. The company is well organized and I appreciated being kept in the loop for the entire process. Thanks again Nick and Highlight Solar. As a follow up we are very happy with the system they installed two years ago and Dean worked with me to get three more panels installed. We did some remodeling so we wanted a little more power from the system. They came out and installed in a couple hours. Could not be happier with there service and professionalism.

Dean and his team were great to work with through all the phases of installing a solar panel installation. Dean was very patient in explaining how the system would work and what would be the best configuration for my install. Their pricing was excellent and they still use top quality and high performing products, unlike some installers that low ball their quotes with older panel models or limited expansion capability. They take care of all the permits and paperwork with PGE, so you don't need to worry about dealing with it. The work was done on schedule and the install was very clean. Highly recommended!
