Looking for an authentic but delicious NYC pizza experience? Head to Highline Pizzeria. For its namesake, you can even walk on the beautiful Highline Trail to or from the pizza place. It is located right by a main entrance to the trail. This pizzeria is a classic, small pizzeria with very little seating space but a cozy and homelike vibe. We actually got to eat our pizza slices right out on the sidewalk on bar stools set up outside. They have a large assortment of pizzas and you can get them by the slice or as whole pizzas. The pies themselves are quite delicious and a filling meal for a dinner or a lunch. Great price as well! I will definitely be going back on my visits to NYC. Try the Grandma Pizza ! P.S. Its what real New Yorkers call a Margherita pizza ;
We stopped by here before going to the show Sleep No More, and funnily enough the pizzeria had a mask from the show on their walls. I’m guessing this is a popular spot for folks going to the show! We ordered two slices: one slice of Chicken Cutlet and Broccoli Pizza, and one slice of Pepperoni Sausage Pizza which were both super meaty and satisfying!! The heating of pizza was super quick, and the crust gives you that satisfying crunch. Seating is fairly limited but was a great spot to grab a quick meal on the go. We also bought a bottle of water which was quite decent at $1 / bottle considering prices at other places.
This place is the best! We just happened to be walking by and stopped in for lunch, and are so glad we did! I will definitely be going back for their mini spinach pizzas. They do not scrimp on spinach, which is exactly what I like! It was excellent with a little balsamic vinaigrette drizzled on top.Dine in: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
Quick, tasty, easy to buy, nice staff, added my favorite extra sauce, fresh cheese, light crust, and just enough but not too much bread on bottom with that chewy and light texture dough. It was an excellent and fast 5 minute dinner for a great deal at $3.27 and you can use credit card for that amount. Thank you Highline Pizzeria for making my life easier.
Good pizza but pricey! 12usd for 2 slices and a Coke! That's def on the high price compared to other places.
The service was amazing! Pizza was delicious, the mushrooms were perfect. I had a bit of trouble with an out of country credit card and they were SO gracious. I would recommend in a heartbeat, and will definitely be back next time I'm in the city!Food: 5/5
I had the plain cheese slice pizza and I am used to buying the cheese slice from Brothers across NY but Highline cheese slice was soooo tasty. I ate it hours later, popped in my toaster oven and it was a slice of heaven. I didn't even add any toppings and it was perfection. Thank you for making such delicious pizza. Food: 5/5
I’m pregnant and was beyond excited to get NY pizza when we came to visit and was beyond disappointed from this place. Not sure where the high reviews come from. The staff is professional and nice but I’ve had better pizza than this from almost every pizzaria in jersey. I ordered a plain and white slice hard to mess up and had to add garlic powered and seasoning to both due to lack of flavor. The cheese on the plain was still hard even after heated so must of have been sitting there for a while. The plain also tasted chemically like chlorine water was used? The only thing that was spot on was the crust. I was so disappointed. Avoid this place if you want an authentic NY pizza.
Highline pizza is the pizzeria right below at the Highline on West 28th Street. it's a small space with a few seats inside and outside. the small pizza place boasts a big menu with competitive prices for pizza, heroes, and other eats. there's a ton of pizza condiments from the fry herbs to a variety of hot sauces if that's your thing. came in late night on a weekday and the pizza place was busy. got a slice plain cheese slice, $3 + tip. a satisfying pizza slice--firm thin crust covered in a slim layer of sauce and a melty blanket of cheese. the slice is pretty balanced—nice crunch on the crust not much flop, cheese is stretchy…the sauce might need a little punch-up but i liked this slice. slice is served hot as it should be…as opposed to warm. service is friendly and quick.
This place is great. I don’t know about the other places around Chelsea, but Highline pizzeria is a hole in the wall, good real slice in New York City. All their specialty pizzas are bomb, and the people that work there are pretty sweet. It’s also owner operated and I’ve seen the guy working back there. I like going here late at night
