Hill Country Riding Academy

This barn is amazing! I’ve been riding at HCRA for 7 years now. I never have a day at school that I don’t look forward to riding here. Mrs. Stephanie provides a great learning environment with fun and constructive criticism to make you the best you could possibly be. She has opened me up to so many friends that are my family. She will never push you to do something you are not ready for. She always strives for safety. I highly recommend this barn.

There is always a welcoming and positive environment. I’ve been riding here for many years and am constantly learning new skills to put in my tool belt. At this barn, safety is a priority, while having a wonderful and instructional lesson. I highly recommend this riding barn for anyone interested in hunter/jumper!

Group lessons have about 10 riders. The new students get to ride not even 20 minutes out of the whole one hour lesson. They sit there on the horse and watch while the instructor focuses on the rides who are preparing for competition. If you don’t want your kid to watch the better riders get most of the attention, this is not the place for you. It seems like this place focus too much on medals and not so much on one on one time with students.

HCRA provides a friendly environment in which to learn how to ride or sharpen your existing riding skills, making sure you become both a great horseman and rider!
