Hillendale Country Club

Another wonderful monthly meeting, only this time at the enchanted HCC. Good show!

In January 2021, my husband and I booked Hillendale for our wedding reception in August. For the first 6 months, everything seemed fine with all our communications with their staff. We even visited the venue multiple times with no issues whatsoever. In June, we had a phone call with John, the new manager, who stated he was not aware of our wedding. He said they could no longer host our wedding due to guest size issues, which wasn’t a problem when we booked the venue. Moreover, our contract with them clearly outlined our guest size 250, and their website currently advertises a guest size capacity up to 275! This escalated with a meeting with their board of directors and their management staff, where they continued to give us excuses of how they couldn’t host us despite taking our money for months. Fortunately, we were able to get our money back, but we had to scramble to find another venue 2 months before our wedding. Their management team and board of directors are grossly incompetent, and I would not recommend.

We really enjoy Hillendale! Earlier this year there were some management and staffing challenges, not unlike many places across the country, but now there are several new people in place, including GM John Warnack and Chef Mike Everd, and our experience has been very nice with these great additions. We absolutely love the Sand Trap Bar Shout out to Mike at the two level pool and our daughter absolutely loves the water slides! Mckayla, who is providing our daughter with swim lessons and coaches the swim team, is absolutely amazing with children! She is really something special and we are so grateful that she is a part of Hillendale. All of our interactions with the staff have been wonderful and the food is excellent. Such a fun place for the entire family and our friends! We are looking forward to spending as much time as possible at the club! Thank you for everything!

DO NOT!!!!FRUSTRATED!!! I had booked Hillendale for a wedding reception. Everything worked out perfectly since the day I walked in and had a tour, and I was glad I could hold my reception here. It was about four months to the wedding that issues began. I had been communicating with a coordinator named Cayli, she quit, and they gave me a different point of contact by the name Allie who also quit weeks after Cayli, and no one communicated but went silent on me, I contacted the manager by the name Brandon, and I was given another contact that never contacted me. We kept sending emails that no one responded to. I called the phone numbers provided and they do not pick up. After days of trying to contact them, I finally got hold of the new manager & I found out that the manager had quit. He had someone call me and yeah, we were back on track. After a day of talking with the new point of contact, the new Manager called me saying that the air conditioning and roof had damages and they could not get it fixed before the wedding so we could not have our wedding there. Few days to my wedding and this happens!! I wish they had better communication with customers and knew how to handle their issues. I believe the AC did not just break! They should have communicated instead of not responding and finally giving me the bad news! Luckily, I found a better venue!!!

This venue is a hidden gem! When I was calling around to places this was the only place that got my vision of a smaller wedding though they can handle large ones too and offered me great suggestions to stay within our budget. Near the end of planning the coordinator left, but the transition to the new person was well communicated and Rachel exceeded our expectations on our wedding day over and over! We had 0 stress the entire day---they were a step ahead of us always offering great suggestions too! Everyone raved over the views of the golf course during the ceremony and people are still telling us how amazing the food was a week later! The twinkle lights in the lobby are gorgeous as well. I highly recommend this place and am so glad we went with them for our special day!

The course is great. I played here as a lesson with Golftec. I am not a member I don't play here regularly so I have no idea how much it costs or what the wait list is for it if any.

Great challenging golf course! It was a great experience to be able to play there. Bring your A game

Went there for a party I got invited too. Really nice place, golf, swimming, restaurant and bar. Dont know what it costs to be a member, but its pretty darn nice.

This is my 3rd year of going to a Holiday party here and it is awesome.. staff do a wonderful job of keeping guests happy and full.. The food is very tasty..
