Great hotel in a convenient location. I have stayed here several times and am always impressed with the quality of my stay. The staff in the executive lounge is outstanding, every one of them. The lounge here as a whole is wonderful: really great food options that changes daily, with the exception of the cookies. Those are served all day every day, and they are absolutely delicious. This is our favorite hotel in the DMV area.
The staff was great. They accommodated parking the oversized vehicle I was driving, we’re friendly, helpful and pleasant. That said there were some issues. The reading light next to the chair didn’t work. The outlet it was plugged into was very loose in the wall. Not the end if the world. When I got into bed the sheets, comforter and pillow cases were very damp. I had to call down to the front desk for replacements. This morning when I got in the shower, the shower handle and trim ring came crashing off the shower wall onto my foot. There was blue masking tape inside the cover which I assume was some attempt to keep it in place by maintenance.
I wanted to give special thanks to this hotel for taking care of my folks over the fourth of July weekend. I had four family members fly in from California, and they chose to stay here because of its proximity to our house and the city. Firstly,.the rooms themselves are very spacious, and the amenities were super awesome! My family mentioned that the staff here really went out of their way to make their stay special. Even my own interactions with some of the employees were always great. The thing that we liked best about the hotel was its location. There is a mall just a short elevator ride down to the lower level, and they have a food court and several major retailers. Whats more, the metro station is located right downstairs, so we were all able to travel downtown to see the fireworks without the hassle of driving or searching for parking. My people will for sure choose this hotel again the next time they come to visit us.
Probably my favorite Hilton location around DC now. The customer service was great. The breakfast was great and had a real selection that was actually included. The executive lounge was nice. This location is right at the Ballston Metro station which made it VERY convenient. I will happily stay here again.
Easy check-in and check-out. Clean room with amenities as promised. Good location in Ballston. Complimentary coffee and paid breakfast in hotel restaurant. Deducted a star because the room, despite being a non-smoking room, had a musky-smoky smell.
Perfect location on top of Ballston metro, and next to multiple restaurants. Basic breakfast buffet was provided eggs, sausage, fruit, pancakes, bagels, etc.. Front desk staff was awesome - good recommendations for local area. Rooms are slightly dated, but very clean.Rooms: 4/5
This hotel is not only right in the middle of things in Ballston, the staff here make you feel like family. I was a part of a conference, and they went out of their way to really accommodate us and ensure all of our attendees felt welcome and special. The atmosphere, particularly their outdoor space, is exceptional for an "inner city" hotel.
The only reason for staying at this hotel is because of the service of Karla. She seemed to want to help. I was locked in the parking garage elevator and used the called button. The person on the other side said they will call for help. After about 5 minutes the maintenance guy called and said that he could not come for 2 hours. He suggested that I call the fire department. My phone did not have access in the elevator. So, I said that I could not call, so he said that I needed to wait in. The elevator is small, cold and scary. After we hung up. I pushed the call button again and the 2nd operator said that there is nothing that she could do. She was rude and basically said that it was my fault. After about half hour I started beating the elevator door. and then the elevator started moving. I notified the front desk at Hilton. Nothing was done. The next they they had a fire alarm. After I ran out the shower and headed to the stairway, the maintenance person said that they were testing the elevator and I should have received an email. I checked with the front desk and they said I should have received a letter. I never received an email nor a letter. I asked for information about the elevator maintenance company, so I could give them feedback on their service. Never heard back from Hilton Arlington. I had thought as a Diamond member, my membership was worth at a minimum good service. But NOT at this Hilton.
The staff was great! Very friendly and pleasant. With that being said there was a frustrating issue that persisted throughout my stay. My key card kept not working and I had to get it replaced multiple times throughout the week. The digital app key card also didn't work properly. After the 4th day they finally sent someone from maintenance to check the door and he said everything was working fine. This was very inconvenient and frustrating.
I was first disappointed with my experience here, however the owner or manager made things right which I very much appreciate. We initially had some issues with the cleanliness of the room, but after consideration they decided to refund my brother and I one night for our stay. I did find it a bit interesting that the response to my initial review was first just an apology, and asking that we give it another shot because the response changed when my phone notified me that the review was getting a ton of attention LOL. Makes me wonder why the initial response was changed from the generic I’m sorry to the let's investigate, however I am pleased with the outcome. The fact that the review was read and a solution was reached says a lot about a company especially when in most cases, this does not happen. I do still have my gripes about the lack of complimentary breakfast and the 22 dollar parking fee, but that overall appreciate the effort to make it better.
