My mom and I stayed for the Regional Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses. The staff were friendly and helpful. On our first day we noticed the drain in our sink wouldn't stay open but by the next day it was fixed. We appreciated having such courteous service during such a very busy and chaotic weekend. Thank you so much.Rooms: 5/5
I was truly ok till I walked down for the breakfast buffet that was NOT a buffet at all. The 3 warmers on the table were not appealing with the 8 strips of bacon, 2 spoons full of egg, handful of potatoes, and stiff oatmeal at the bottom of the pot. If I'm going to pay $14 Dollars for a breakfast buffet, I need it to be worth the money in being charged. Ridiculous and Unacceptable, and not good business. I've received better complimentary breakfast at other Hilton properties with a waffle iron, pancake machine, full warmers of bacon, egg, and sausages, oatmeal, fruit and a server manning the breakfast setup the whole time it was offered. This is definitely my first and last time at this location. Food & drinks: Doesn't match the advertised quality
The general manager, Duncan, has a real bad chip on his shoulder. He needs to be retrained. I’m not sure if that would even be sufficient or not? What an absolute embarrassment to not only the Hilton and their brand, but to himself. He has multiple areas of opportunity, from honesty to keeping his word, integrity to treating others with kindness and respect, Duncan gets 0 stars. This was my second and last stay here at this property. They nickel and dime the guest however they can, this time there was no hot water in the bathroom sink and he told me it was working fine but was actually just lying about it. I mean, for what purpose? We reviewed the folio together and he assured me he’d correct the errors and he did not. As a Diamond member, I was not valued at all. Be forewarned, Stay away!! Rooms: No hot water in the bathroom sink. Then the GM told me I was lying about the hot water in a round about way. Had to use the room across the hall when a different front desk agent confirmed with me, in room, no hot water. She then let me in across the hall to shave with hot water. Walkability: Target, and Whataburger. That’s about it. Food & drinks: The kitchen here serves basic food options, nothing special but not terrible. They can’t get their pricing right though. Noteworthy details: The General Manager should be fired! If you run across Duncan, be forewarned. He needs to be retrained. Awful person.
Similar to other reviews, I stood at the counter on arrival and just waited for the 2 attendants to acknowledge my presence. The lobby is nice and inviting, but when I got to my room I noticed a very strong smell of ....cleaning supplies? Not even sure. Room was clean, but the strange smell was overwhelming at first. So much so, when I got back home the next day my clothes smelled like the hotel room. Breakfast is not complimentary.... $10. Not obvious on their website. Nothing else was wrong with the place, but that experience wasn't worth $120. Granted, I could have complained about the smell and asked for another room....but I was tired and just went to sleep....so it wasn't "that" bad.... but not good enough to stay there again.
I'm so disappointed. I always stay with Hilton, but this was my worst experience. The staff up front were great, but the room was horrible. 1st - the walls are so thin, we could hear everything from the neighbors, even the bathroom sounds. You could hear the baby upstairs crying all night. 2nd - the bed was hard as a rock. Very uncomfortable. 3rd - not a fan of the barn door for the bathroom. There is no lock. 4th - What happened to the free breakfast? As much as we paid, we should get one. Honestly, I would have been better at staying at the best Western next door.
This place is literally a joke. They put charges on your card that are not valid and then argue with you. We ate at the restaurant. It was subpar at best. I called on the phone to try to talk to someone about the miscellaneous charge of $300 on my card and I was told that I smoked in the room. News to me. I was told they had proof they could email me and I requested that and have not heard back from anyone. I will never stay at any Hilton again. Safety: If you go out back to the smoking oasis, you cannot get back in the door with your cardkey
I stay here once a week for business in the area. The staff here is just beyond professional. They really roll out the hospitality. The rooms are 5 star, with the amenities to go with. The attached restaurant and bar is an added bonus. Plenty of parking, and easy access to everything on the Expressway. The Manager Valerie and Elizabeth at the front desk make your experience a pleasant one. They sure make this place feel like home away from home. Thank you.
Start of this visit off to a rocky start. Front counter guy was rude from the moment I walked in. Asked for an extra pillow and blanket got told they have none but they will be in the room. Got through the dirty halls and elevator and nope nothing. Front desk gave a blanket. What kind of hotel doesn’t have extra blankets and pillows? Rooms: Not clean
Elizabeth registered me to a room that had not been cleaned. Then, tried to argue with me about it. Gave me another room where the toilet became clogged and the front desk told me the plunger was lost. Called the front desk the next morning, Duncan told me he would send someone right up. Well, right up meant an hour later. Customer service was bad and they aren’t very clean. Stay at your own risk!!!! Rooms: Hotel needs some cosmetic attention. Marks all over the walls. Walls are paper thin. Bed is very uncomfortable. Had a backache!
Got two rooms for 4 days, spent over 1000 dollars thinking it was going to be well worth the money, boy was I wrong, the "hot tub" was like warm piss water, the rooms claimed to have queen sized beds, I sleep on a full sized matress at home and its the SAME SIZE, lady assured me it was a queen but two of us barely fit. One of the rooms TV was broken, heater didn't work, my elderly mom caught a cold as a result, when she went to complain the lady informed her the tv was dropped and had to be replaced, if it was dropped why wasnt it swappped before check in? NO WHERE NEAR THE PRICE AT ALL and this was only the first day... Never will I ever stay at another Hilton or will I ever recommend this trash to others.
