The HPU always processed permits super quickly and are very responsive via email or phone. Just have your documentation ready and read the rules online and you're good to go.

Gina was SO helpful over the phone when I called her multiple times to help me out with getting temporary parking permits in. With the DMV being backlogged, a lot of the documents are hard to come by but they are being very flexible with what we can submit.

I've been coming here regularly for the past three years. Just do your homework, bring your paperwork, and be nice. You'd be surprised how nice everyone there is in return. Plus they are open late which is unheard of for local government.

Staff are rude n have attitudes for no reason just moved to Hoboken n impossible to get a permit documents wont upload says size is to big n won't let me create an account I can't even live at the condo I just got because I have no permit worst parking ever saw in my life n complicated.

Unnecessarily rude and incompetent employees. I called asking simple and reasonable questions; not only was the woman answering completely missing the point of my question, she was defensive and pugnacious from the beginning of the call. What a joke.

I was worried going in beside of all the feedback, but it was easy for me to pick up the permits I needed. Whole ordeal took 5 minutes.
