I am a IHG employee at a different property in Montana. I stayed here due to the location as it is close to Empower Field at Mile High Stadium for a Broncos game. First night we were there, I noticed several maintenance issues with the room. The sliding balcony door didn't shut properly, letting in bugs and all of the noise of the city. This is also a huge personal safety risk as we were on the eleventh floor, my son is twelve and still sleep walks and due to the door not shutting properly I was unable to lock it and didn't sleep much during the entirety of the stay. Maintenance did come "Fix" the door, but it only stayed fixed for about three openings before it was broken again. The microwave in the room had no middle piece that connects to the plate so it did not spin. The handle that controls the shower came off the wall when I tried to pull it down to turn on the water. The toilet had a huge chunk of porcelain missing/cracked right next to were you sit. At check out, the woman working the desk gave me a dirty key so I could go get ice on the second floor after I already turned in my keys which is in violation of the way of clean/coronavirus policy. The entry door to the room slammed from were ever it was left open, no slow close at all which was extremely noisy. I did voice concerns to the staff who seemed indifferent about it other than the sliding door. The only good thing about the room were the beds and the view from the balcony. The only reason we did not check out and find somewhere else was because the only employee room rates available at other IHG properties were 20-30 miles away in the suburbs of Denver. I did contact Benny, the assistant general manager via email with no response to these concerns. I feel like I was placed in a room that should have been out of order due to maintenance/safety issues.
The room was a good size for two of us, the beds were comfortable, and the service was generally good, except for the restaurant. The hotel property itself is dated, and the location is not near most tourist sight locales. However, the price generally makes up for those shortcomings, almost. One major issue which needs immediate attention is the parking situation; we were not informed of the available parking garage or the code to access it upon check-in, and we had to ask in person after arriving late one night. Then after parking, the lack of signage had us walking around for half an hour trying to find the hotel. Thus, the hotel needs to do better at alerting guests to the garage and then how to get from the garage to the hotel. Lastly, the hotel must be experiencing staff shortages as the restaurant is woefully understaffed. It took almost an hour to be served breakfast, which we had prepaid for. This needs to be rectified as it is a dishonest practice to sell something that is in fact unavailable due to management's poor staffing. We left without being served as it simply took too long.
Our room was very nice. Very comfortable bed. Clean & nicely decorated. We have had a 5 star experience. We have friends staying here at same time who have not had this experience. I won't talk about that but I mention it so others can be aware that service & hotel condition could be spotty.
The rooms are nice, generally clean. The beds are very soft and most rooms have a desk for working from. The in-hotel restaurant is efficient but doesn't have the best food. It's very peaceful and has vending machines on every level. Overall, 8/10.Rooms: 5/5
We loved staying here. We stayed in room 201, and the only reason I wouldn't give our stay 5 stars was you look upon the roof of part of the hotel and there is a pile of booze bottles littering the roof. That was truly the only distracting feature but otherwise the stay was great and it is a beautiful hotel. Arrive early though as they are struggling to hire front desk employees and there can be a line.
Overall it was fine. It was a place to sleep close to the hotel my conference was at that hotel had no rooms. The toilet has to be flushed twice to completely flush - and that’s with nothing but a little toilet paper in it, and the bathtub filled with water while showering. The parking garage was closed so parking was limited and not convenient. The back of the hotel is dark and doesn’t feel safe to park and have to walk around to the front when it’s dark. When I checked in, there was a homeless couple camped out at the corner of the building. The stay was pretty expensive for the small room and I was told breakfast was NOT free. For almost $1000 for the stay a complimentary cup of coffee and a muffin shouldn’t be too much to ask. At least WiFi was free. Update: my key stopped working the last two nights of my stay. The front desk fixed it, but when I mentioned it being the second time it happened, I was met with a shrug and the reply “it’s been happening.” This isn’t an issue I expect the front desk staff to have a solution for, it’s not their job, but it seems other have had this same issue and no one in charge is fixing it.
If you don't have to please don't waste your money on this hotel! Front desk: *** Restaurant *** Housekeeping *** if available Rooms -* minus * Very simple and average hotel. Outdated rooms! Holiday Inn overseas is top-notch! Here it feels like a Motel 6 in a secluded area. Housekeeping on request if you are lucky. My room didn't get serviced for 3 days. I took the trash out myself, and exchange dirty towels for clean ones when saw housekeeping in the hallway. After 3 nights, the front desk moved me to a clean room since my room wasn't serviced. WiFi very weak! During my stay 1day no Internet connection. No apology from anyone! No voucher either! The bathroom drain is super slow, and the water pressure is very low, especially on a higher floor.
