Was a great experience! Took our grandkids for a back to school outing and they loved it. 2 lanes in the basement. They have shoes and balls. All old and well used but we were there for the adventure more than the game. The Owner was our pinsetter because the one scheduled didn’t show up. That meant a lot to all of us
The oldest bowling alley in the country sits in the basement. A wonderful Polish tavern at ground level. Worthy of a visit, a couple games, and a couple rounds.
Family ran business, and what a nice family. Me and my friends were treated amazingly by them. They showed us around and explained the history behind their place. It’s the coolest bowling alley I’ve ever been to.
Heard about this place online. Love unique places. This is a small lovely old polish bar with a bowling alle in the basement. But not any bowling alley , the oldest in the country. The owner was fantastic. We walked in and he said want a tour!. He knows everyone that comes in so strangers he welcomes! Love that. Was going to have one beer stayed for 3. Nice people and nice regulars.
Is this place real life - what a bar!!! If you don’t stop by this place for a drink while in Milwaukee you’re out of your mind!
A must see! Its the oldest sanctioned bowling alley in the country. 5 generations owned, Kathy and Tom make you feel like family the moment you walk in. Gunther the pin setter was great also. Can't wait to come back!
Very friendly staff, who made us very good drinks. We were not from the area, but it seemed like a nice neighborhood bar where you could get to know a lot of people. One consideration: if you're planning on going bowling, you'll need to set a reservation first.
Our group from St. Louis had an absolutely phenomenal time at the Holler House. It’s the oldest sanctioned bowling alley in America. The history and atmosphere is truly one of a kind. It’s no stretch to say it’s one of the coolest bars I’ve ever been to. It’s been family run for five generations and we got to meet Kathy, Tom, Brody. They were incredibly welcoming and told us all about the rich history of the bar. Go see for yourself, I guarantee you’ll never find another place like the Holler House!
A step back in time in Milwaukee. Great service, tasty Old Fashions, and wide beer variety make it extra special cheers time! Truly a Milwaukee tavern treasure
Located on Milwaukee’s south side, this is a wonderful bar with a few bowling lanes and much history and charm to the building. The family that owns it is friendly and welcoming and will give you the full history to this great establishment.
