If I could give less than one star, I would. We were naive enough to believe that after our contract was up, we were free to cancel the service. Not the case. I was told there is an exit charge to cancel the account even though we were no longer under contract, because it is a rental contract not a purchase contract. So we either had to pay them for removal of the system or we had to pay a buy-out fee. I understand the buy-out fee because we keep the equipment, but I have NEVER had a rental contract where you had to pay to return items after the rental contract was up. Please, please, listen to mine and all the other reviews on here and don't get scammed like we did.
This company scams people into a monthly charge for water, but they don't tell you that there's a required contract nor do they make you sign one. When I attempted to cancel my home water since I was having a full home water system installed, they tried telling me there were charges in the hundreds of dollars to cancel. I asked them for the date I signed the contract and a copy of the signed contract. They deflected and refused to send me a signed contract because they didn't have one. I called my bank and cancelled them as well as flagged the company to prevent them from attempting to charge me. What sickens me most about this is they originally told me they were also offering it to elderly people who maybe couldn't afford to pay upfront for a water system. Playing the heroic card when in fact they're SCAMMING elderly into contracts they don't even realize they're entering. Taking advantage of vulnerable people is so sad and infuriating. It's disgusting and this company needs to be shut down. I've warned them if they attempt to try to collect money from a nonexistent contract with me, I will go after them aggressively in court.
This is a TERRIBLE company!!!! My son let the salesman in because he came to my door posing as though he worked for the utility company and needed to check our water. When I went to my kitchen to see who was in my home the young man introduced himself and continued to talk for about 10 min about our water problems and how they are installing free filters for the whole complex and I’d only pay $20 a month for service. I was also told I had 10 days to cancel and charges wouldn’t start until the following month. Not only was my credit card charged immediately, they ran a credit check the next day without my permission. I called the very next day to cancel in which the rep tried his hardest to talk me out of canceling but I wasn’t interested. I was also told my money would be refunded which they did not do. I had to file a fraudulent claim with my bank to retrieve my money. DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY IN YOUR HOME!!!! It is a HUGE SCAM!!!!!
I DO NOT trust this company. First they say they are contracted from my neighborhood with my apartment complex that they are here to check the water. They come in and say they are from Home water to give people a chance to try their filters out going to each house all in Las Vegas. So they lied they were not contracted by my apartment complex. The filters they use only filters out chemicals not bacteria. I'm still not comfortable drinking out of it and when I read the contract. It's a 5 year agreement!! They also told me I had to pay 19.99 upfront. When I called to cancel they guy had no clue what I was talking about and why the reps had me pay upfront for a trial period. He said he would look into the matter. And let me know back the day they are to pick up the filters and equipment. I am disappointed and hope all will be resolved as opposed to the bad reviews I've seen from this company.
Two men came to my door and pitched me on a water filtration system. They said they were working with the state which was a lie to ensure everyone had safe water. They said I'd recieve 20% off of my electric bill every month via a code they'd email to me also a lie. They said they'd personally come and install a free shower head lie said I could cancel any time no problem lies!. They lied to me and tricked me into signing a 5 year contract with a $295 cancellation fee. When the discount code never appeared in my inbox I contacted the company. They would not cancel my "contract" without charging me an outrageous amount. This company is SCAMMING people all over the valley. I looked them up online and hundreds of people have similar stories. They NEED to be shut down!!
SCAM! They ran a credit check without my permission. Now I have a hard inquiry affecting my credit score for the next 2 years. They also told me the monthly fee would be deducted by my energy company and that it would reflect on my bill. I was told later by the regional manager that this information was absolutely incorrect. I knew things were fishy when they asked for my bank account and routing number even though they claimed it would be a bill they mailed out to me and did not automatically withdraw from my account. Because of this I scheduled with the tech to install on another day so I’d have time to research the company. I held onto the bank account form and planned on filling it out and signing it after the tech had finished the job. Good thing I waited! The next day Credit Karma alerted me that they had run my credit. Initially I was given a phone number to the manager to address the issue but he claimed I had the wrong number and then ignored my calls after that. I confirmed with several people, including the regional manager, that it was in fact his number and that he was therefore lying to me. Managers name is Idris. General managers name is Alex and he was much more helpful although it’s too late and my credit score has been affected.
This company is completely untrustworthy and the least bit transparent. I unfortunately fell victim to a person coming to my door representing the company and convincing me to use their home water filtration system. Problems with the company: 1. I was not told I had signed into a contract. 2. I was told that my contract could be cancelled free of charge at anytime based on the conversation with the rep in my home. 3. They only "verbally confirm" over the phone. You will NEVER receive any other paper work or digital communication while being a customer. 4. They will charge you a HUGE fee between $200 to $300 for cancelling. 5. They are inflexible on the dates/times the technicians come to remove the filter i.e. only one day per week are they available in my area...which is really difficult when you have a job and it is the SAME day they can come. AVOID THIS BUSINESS!!
SCAMMERS... There is a 5 year contract that they do not!! tell you about. If you decide to cancel AFTER the 10 day trial you will be charged for the cancellation!!! 200 plus dollars Breaking Your Contract Fee they don’t provide information about any kind of contract in the paperwork given to you after signing your receipt. When sales rep came to my door they were nice people, had a good presentation for their product. I decided to give them a chance, help out the sales rep. My choice became a bad one, it sucks when you give a product/company a chance then later realize it’s a set up and scam from the start. As far as the water filters they worked just like any other filters that can be purchased at Costco or Sams Club that I later found out about without a scamming contract. My advice to reviewers is to go to Costco or Sams Club to purchase, watch a YouTube video on how to install your filters DO NOT! trust this company. Another thing is, they will ask for your SS# you do not! have to provide them that information but they do have to ask, via sales rep. I was told by the sales rep after I denied giving them my SS# that I didn’t not have to give them my SS# but they do have to ask for it/SS Number, Pretty Sketchy if you ask me.
They haven't exactly been the most honest company. I finally dug out my contract after 2 years because I am selling my house and I started to look it over. My contract clearly states that my bill is $19.95 and they have been charging me $21.95 for over 2 years now. Their rep told me that it was 2 years to purchase the unit. But I now see that I have only been renting the unit and that after 5 years the will waive the $200 installation fee. I first waited for 13 months before they sent me the new filters. If these reps are seen in your neighborhood run them off. They are liars and scammers. Let see them try and get out of their breach of contract with changing the price without my consent.
Horrible customer service. My dad had a contract with this company and recently passed away. I called to let them know of this change and provide necessary documents to cancel his service, and they refused. Told me that I am now contractually obligated to take over or pay a $200 cancellation fee, that I can not afford after handling funeral affairs. Not sure how they will swing this since I'm not a cosigner and he did not own his property. All I wanted was to give them an opportunity to get the equipment. Banks and other affairs were simple to sort out. I will now be getting my attorney involved once I receive said copy of the agreement. Do not purchase with them. Save yourself the headaches.
