This is my first visit to Hopkins Center Rehabilitation , and I am excited about it already. I was warmly welcomed when I entered the facility . I am happy to be a Home Health Aide , because I am having a great experience working in this facility . I am excited to be here on Thanksgiving day , because I get to meet the amazing staffs of Hopkins . I must say the facility is well kept , it's neat , it's tidy , it's clean, and properly sanitized . My experience today is one I will always remember. I am encourage to continue working as a Home Health Aide because my hope is to working In a facility like this . I must say congratulations to all of you for a job well done in patient care , and I shall also say keep up the good work. Happy Thanksgiving to you all .
My mom and dad have been at Hopkins for About 6 months and they are together in one room since they've been married for 72 years they could not be separated. The staff is amazing and goes above and beyond in my opinion. My parents look healthy and happy at ages 91 and 96. I am so happy they are in Hopkins for the last stage of their life. There are no words to show my gratitude towards these living angels.
Check-in was very easy, the staff was friendly. The patients were so excited about their artwork. They showed off their art as they came off the elevator. My Great Aunt also talked about a huge meal they served earlier with fine China. Although nothing would make my Aunt happier than to go back home I know she is well cared for.
The staff are extremely attentive to my dad’s care… and if he doesn’t say it, we do and are very appreciative! Also met the speech pathologist Alecia and she displayed great patience with our concerns and never lost her professionalism or her great positivity and awesome pleasant demeanor!!!
Hopkins staff goes above and beyond to care for their residents. My parents were very well cared for. The CNA's and Nurses were always ready to answer any questions or concerns I may have. My parents married 68 years shared a room together at Hopkins and were very happy. I had a virtue visit last week with their private doctor who has not seen them for some time. The first thing the doctor said to me was "your parents look so good", you can tell they are being very well cared for at Hopkins. I was so happy he saw the same. Thank you, Yosef administrator at Hopkins for always answering my calls if I had a question or concern. I give Hopkins a 5 star all the way around and will continue to recommend them to family and friends.
I’ve answered many of these request…I think you have a really good center but the aides need more accountability. Every negative situation I’ve experienced has been a confrontation with an aide who was either negligent, rude or trying not to do what was expected of them. They need tighter supervision because some…not all…can be really nasty…and condescending. Sorry for the negative feedback…but you need to know. I’m really grateful for the care my mom has received at Hopkins Center and I want it to be the best.
For the most part, my sister-in-law seemed to have a good experience at your facility. As for me, what was interesting, as my own mother was at this facility in 2009, I could see you had done some very, substantial positive renovations. The place did not have an institutional feel it did then. I didn’t interact with too many people, but they all seemed nice. And my sister/law I seem to really like a couple of them.
Jenna, the receptionist greeted me with a smile. She was professional & explained the steps to complete the Covid test which I was required to take in order to visit my Aunt. I also had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Watson, my relative's CNA who was very pleasant which made me feel very comfortable. She sang happy birthday with me for my Aunt who celebrated her 93rd today. On a previous visit, I met Ms. Jackson, RN with whom I had discussed my concern about something that I observed on my Aunt's toe. She listened attentively & promised to ensure that the matter would be dealt with expeditiously. In conclusion, I have to state that I have had great experiences while visiting Hopkins.
Professional care on all levels - starting with social worker, nurses, ST, OT, PT, maintenance, etc. This rehab is in a great area of Brooklyn with its own parking lot, making a big difference for visitors. We had a few options to choose from for my mom’s long term care, but couldn’t be happier with the choice we made in this difficult times for our family. It’s been 4 months already and with all complexity of my mom’s medical condition, Hopkins stuff was on the top of the task.
Horrible experience. Undignified behavior, unconcerned staff and an overpowering unclean stench that leaves with you. Ice box temperatures that must be absolutely unhealthy for these poor unfortunate souls. Misleading information, unresponse social workers, signage incorrect. Did witness masterful salesmanship from a staff member to a person looking for senior care for a family member. It took everything to not speak up a d warn that person. Leadership needs to be changed.
