Great atmosphere in the hotel; amazing to stay in such a nice hotel and also have it pet friendly! Thank you. Shoutout to Scott the hotel manager and the rest of the staff for coming to our assistance after a minor car issue; your patience and care were appreciated.Rooms: 5/5
The only reason why they're considered 4 stars is because of the price. It has 2 star amenities. As of January 2023 there is no room service, no elevator, no microwave. Also, no ventilation fan in the bathroom? The parking lot has weird access hours that is just ridiculous. They also put us on the top floor 8th. The only perk is the excellent IPA I got to try from 21st Amendment Brewery, but googling the location puts it in California, so that too was disappointing. I can't think of a single reason to stay at this hotel. They have a parking garage but it isn't exclusive to guests, also you're paying full-price for it. No perks.
Well, I wasn't even going to leave a review to complain. But then I got a text from management asking how my stay went and was like, ok sure I'll let you know the issues. Parking wasn't great, didn't have anything on their site about how access would be locked down on weekends and their website said they had room service when booking the room. Parking is the public parking garage, $35 a night. The elevator and stairwell access are locked from 6pm-6am, alright that's fine. But it locked 24/7 ON THE WEEKEND. Pretty inconvenient to have to walk on the incline but whatever The website says they offer valet but apparently this service per their text is only if you call ahead and ask for it for a group to set it up in advance. It does not say this anywhere on their website. The description for the room states there is room service but apparently has not been offered since pre-covid. As I prefaced the text to management it would have not been annoying if their website had stated any of that, I would have chosen different accommodations for my needs. So why did I write this review? The response to the text. It wasn't oh we should update our website to be more clear it was that I should have called and asked about the services. Maybe your website shouldn't say there is possible valet depending on availability for an extra charge on your FAQ page. Maybe the description for the rooms shouldn't say be cozy and snack on room service. But apparently it is my responsibility to double check incorrect information on your website. Duly noted. I will not be staying here again and will not recommend. Absolutely atrocious response by text. And as you noted APPARENTLY it has been this way since pre-covid and you have updated your website? They also don't plan on offering these services in 2023. For anyone wanting to have a nice weekend getaway.
Stayed at the hotel Deluxe for a night with some girlfriends. We were able to get early check-in. Our room was fantastic. Easy Uber rides to Keller Auditorium where we saw Hamilton. After the show, we got back to the hotel and had a drink at the Driftwood, I chose to have the bartender make me a drink of his choice...I'm not a drinker, so when I got my cocktail, it was a surprise how much I enjoyed said cocktail. After drinks, we ended up walking a few blocks to the Melting Pot, had a fantastic dinner and was easily able to Uber back to the hotel. We woke up the next morning and had breakfast downstairs at Gracie's...great staff, delicious food, convenient location, we just took the elevator down. We were able to go back to our and relax before our very easy check-out. All in all, such a fabulous stay at a beautiful hotel. Great atmosphere. The front desk was helpful and inviting. Looking forward to booking another girls night when we go to another show at Kellers.
After almost 2 1/2 years, I was excited to be back to what I used to call my favorite hotel. I was utterly disappointed at the lack of care in the rooms, service and customer experience. Your property had 3 chances to change my experience and failed miserably. I had to practically beg the concierge upon check out for a printed receipt and envelope which were handed to me with sighs of frustration. Long gone are the warm "Good Mornings" or "Good Evenings" and thoroughly cooked potatoes in a bisque or stain free comforters upon arrival. Stay elsewhere, they've lost their charm.
Stayed here on Saturday June 4th. We came down to Eugene from WA for my best freinds funeral unfortunately. It is my birthday weekend so my wife wanted to salvage what she could of it and booked us a room here. When we arrived we were greeted by Morgan with so much warmth and kindness. My wife had mentioned it was my birthday and they put out some decorations and a card and upgraded our room. A lot hotel claim to be dog friendly but act put out. Not here! We had dog beds and toys sent up and Morgan even came out from behind front desk and greeted our ancient dog personally. Every other staff member was also extremely kind and helpful. I would also like to note that the rose festival was going on and they were extremely busy and still had the best customer service we have received at a hotel in Portland. Thank you!
The hotel is really beautiful. Our room was really well appointed, super clean and very comfortable. We drank in the bar and ate the restaurant and the staff in both places plus the front desk staff are all super friendly and efficient. We only stayed one night but I'm looking forward to going backRooms: 5/5
I booked this hotel on Hotwire the day of and got a great price. I love the old-fashioned vibe of this hotel and the rooms were comfortable. It is also in a great location, central to many bars, restaurants, and city attractions. I found the “welcome wine” to be a great touch— the day you arrive you can go to the front desk between 6pm and 9pm and get two small cans of wine. Thank you for a great stay! I would definitely stay here again.
Booked a 2 night stay so I didn't have to drive 4 hours to have a surgery super early. Showed up at the hotel and they refused to use the same visa I had booked the room with to hold the deposit on because it was through chime bank. They wouldn't take another card over the phone or an emailed picture of another card. No refund, no working with you and definitely less than satisfactory service. Do not recommend
I was traveling. So, I called in to reserve a room. I was told the price and the time I am supposed to check out. I traveled for 30 minutes in the middle of night to get there to find out it was all lie. The price went up, the check out went down. Is it a simple misunderstanding? Or a way to take advantage? Such a big hotel and ......... The hotel might be good hotel to stay but in terms of hospitality, might not be the best choice.
