Our experience with Hike and House of Alpine was fantastic. He was incredibly thoughtful and creative around what we had envisioned. He listened closely to everything we had to say including some conflicting guidance and counseled us at every step of the way into a final design we absolutely love. As well, the quality of his work is exceptional. We've had a lot of experience of the years with fine furniture and wood-making and Mike's work is better than our highest expectations. We highly recommend Mike and House of Alpine. I've attached three pictures. This table is 15' long, which is pretty uncommon. We wanted a continuous slab, so Mike found a way to make that happen. We worked with Mike / House of Alpine on two different custom furniture projects 1 floating waterfall desk and 2 dining room table made from reclaimed bowling alley wood, both of which exceeded our expectations. Mike's understanding of our vision for both projects was precise and his communication throughout the process was key. One of the best things I can say, besides his meticulous craftsmanship, is trust. When you commission someone to build custom furniture from a drawing, rough really rough sketch or idea and it comes out exactly the way you envisioned or better, I would say this is one of the most valuable things about working with Mike. Sure you can find someone else to do your woodworking, but why would you after you read this?

A few years back, my boys and I went to New Zealand and while there I fell in love with the live edge tables. I shared my desire with my boys and for my retirement, they coordinated with Mike to have a beautiful rustic oak, live edge table made. My son did all the behind the scene coordination with Mike but I met with him face to face in order to pick out the wood and design. Mike was nothing but professional and gracious, creating the perfect piece of art for my new mountain home. Not only did he produce a very beautiful piece, that met and exceeded my expectations, he personally delivered it and made sure everything was perfect. If you are looking for any piece of furniture - Mike is the person to go to. He has an eye for detail and is very dedicated to the project. You can NOT go wrong with him. Thanks Mike!

We are so happy with the outcome of our new dining room table and bench! The constant communication between Mike and us was extremely comforting. We went through two other companies and had to cancel due to lack of communication and being unprofessional. My wife told Mike what she was looking for and he completely surpassed our expectations. Do not waste your time with another company if you are someone who knows what they want and expect the best. The table is so solid that we are confident it will last many years to come. It has become the centerpiece of our home and everyone that walks in asks about it. We are now in the process of finding something else Mike can build for us.
