Houston Map Company -Key Maps

My favorite store I've ever been to. Like heaven for map lovers. Staff is so friendly and knowledgeable! And the maps are very affordable. Definitely worth visiting.

Key Maps is the best map shop I know of in the Houston area. They have a reasonable selection and much better prices than I have found online! Beware of buying international paper maps online. Most of them are outdated or out of print maps being sold well above their face value. The also do custom maps, but I have not used that service.

I waited at the store front for 15 minutes without anyone either answering the phone or opening the door. The website and signage on the door said the store opened at 9:00 on Tuesday. There website only offers Key Maps for sale/delivery, no other products. Unfortunately I was in need of a map that was not available at other retail locations or online.

A few days ago I visited Houston Maps Company to buy a specific map in the store. It was a very pleasant experience! A nice man greeted me and he was very helpful in what I was looking for. He was a true example of what displaying solid excellent customer service was all about.

I saw this place while passing by and decide to pop in. The staff was very kind and took time to show me the many different maps they had. Very fascinating store and was able to pick up a couple of cool pieces for a fair price.

What a pleasant surprise. I stopped in for a business need and they far surpassed my expectations with their ability to customize their products for your needs. The staff were a pleasure to work with. I can't wait to go back for personal interest in decorative maps.

They specialize in maps, but also offer some other great decorative pieces. Came in and bought a beautiful musical kaleidoscope and astrolabium clock. Very fair price and they packed everything with care for me too. Will be coming back again for more beautiful home decor. Have my eye on a cool light up constellation globe.

Steve and Elisabeth at Key Maps are really kind and helpful and they really know their stuff! New location is very comfortable for browsing with great air conditioning and lighting. So glad I popped in there today for a Houston area wall map. They gave me great advice on how to take care of it and what to do pen-wise as well, in case I want to mark up my map.

Bad Experience! Came here to buy a globe for my fiancé as a gift who collects them. The store only had two desk globes, both without box, one with chips in the paint of the stand. The other one looked nice after a quick inspection, so I went for it. Getting home the globe fell apart taking it out of my car. While reassembling, I noticed the bad line-up of the individual map pieces which were also bumpy. I didn't notice that in the store otherwise I would have not bought it. The worst, at the bottom of the stand it hade a Made in China sticker. Clearly this was not a well made globe you would expect from a "Map" Store!!! I tried to return it the next morning but the owner told me all sales are final. She also got rather aggressive and not even tried to understand, instead came up with all kinds of excuses why she wouldn't take it back. At the same time another employee came from the back as well. Were they trying to threaten me? I was there with my 3 year old son! Worst place ever!! Stay away and find another store! Hope they will be out of business soon as it is just a big rip-off!!

I love maps and this place is definitely going on my Google maps Favorites. and I've got 1from 2004 when I moved here and 1 from ether 2018 or 2019. So keep up the good work:
